I started seeds on 4/23.I have read a lot on germination so decided to put the in the soil.I am using compost. At the moment I have them in those degradable starter pots that you just plant in the soil after they started.I started 6 and only one has come up fully on 4/27.There in the tent with the light on with the temp staying in the 70's.The light is a 400w hm that i have at 50%.Should I be worried they haven't sprouted or give it more time.I wrote to who I got them from and they said wait a couple more days

Is your soil wet? It's best to keep it moist and warm if you can. I've only waited 2 days usually for the seed to show the taproot. And another 2 days to sprout from dirt. I use the paper towel method though. Hope this helps. I'd give it a few days and then worry.

Also how far did you put it in the dirt?

Same thing happened to me had 15 seeds only 7 sprouted used in a soil starter with humidity dome and heat mat, tga seeds that last year I had 15/15 sprouts using paper towel method alone ... This year i got 4/5 Brian berry coughs, 1/5 mickey kush and the two tiny ones u can't see are chernobly I sprouted 2 weeks later since I was concerned on getting at least 6 females only 2/5 popped for those same sprouting method never using that again not sure if I had dud seeds but going back to what works for me the wet paper towel
Pics are 24 days from incubation

Leave it!

I've so far always put the seed straight in the soil, no more than 0.5cm down, light scatter of dirt over the top. The only one to not sprout was my first seed, as I started worrying an decided to dig round in the soil, killed the little bastard.

My seeds have sprouted anywhere from 2 days (Speed Seeds) to 8 days (TH Seeds) so far, and I'm sure ill get further variation in future.

One thing I do that you may try is cling film over the top of the pots. It keeps the humidity up, preventing the top of the soil drying out too quick under that 400. I remove the film when the sprout is almost touching.

Next time I have room in the tent I'll be dipping my toe into hydro, so need to get some rockwool or similar.

I put mine in a glass of water for 12-24hrs and then into cotton wool or paper towel for 12-24 more hours and bobs your uncle..
Half a finger nail deep in soil.
Gooood Luckkk !!! :))

Yup, a situation like this is why I started using the paper towel method. As soon as I see a tap root (anything, even if it's just poking out) it goes directly into the final pot. Sitting around for a week sucks... the extra work is worth peace of mind.

A week is not unheard of, longer if you planted them too deeply (another common mistake). My newest seeds took two days to show a tap root and another 2-3 to start poking out.
