Hi, I am a newbie and was wondering what the maximum humidity and temp. for a grow room should be? My space is a attic with ventilation but limited temp. control. The temp. and humidity fluctuate with the outdoor temp... any input?:?:

Welcome to RIU :hump:

75 degrees and 60% humidity (lower for flower...40% - 50% )
If you are north, upper midwest etc won't your attic drop to outside air temp?? It should... I am guessing you would need to drywall a separate room within a room to control environment. I run co2 in a tent at 87 degrees day and 69 night. Without Co2 78 degrees max is more acceptable. I think it would depend on where you live as to how much of a battle it would be to control the environment. Way north it might be a problem. Not insurmountable but a tough one.

I thought about attic but decided on basement because basement is so stable.

Hi, thanks for the input, I am in new jersey, so it doesnt get that cold, after March, I want to do basement but cant for security reasons, I do have a/c ducts I could tie into, I am more worried about heat than cold, humidity only really gets high in mid/late summer. Its not dry here but not real wet either. let me know what you think...

I think someone should respond at this point who has done an attic grow. Yeah in the summer its going to be real hot and real moist. Maybe you could survive by using a darkroom or equal tent and tapping ac and or dehumidifier with air cooled lights. someone has done this but not me. Good luck
