Day 70 of 12:12 (actually running 11:13 though for the past 9 days)

10 weeks into Flowering lighting schedule now and although she continues to pull nutrients from her leaves, she still isn’t showing any signs that I can see that she is finished, so the wait continues. :blsmoke:

Soil mBar was up to 130 again today, so I watered in 1.5 gallons in hopes that it’ll buy me at least a couple days before I have to water again.

Meanwhile did some more training on the Clones to arrange their Tops into more of a square shape and less of a line like they were in. Will let them grow out a bit now before doing any more training to them.

Also LST’d the Monster Cropping clone and she is starting to show signs that she is indeed going to Monster Crop. Just hoping she gets finished and is fully back in Veg by time I want to put her outside.

Day 77 since I flipped this beautiful girl, and I think I’m gonna call this grow a wrap.

Always bittersweet when it comes to harvesting a plant that you have watched grow up from a seed, nurtured and cared for all along the way and even more when everything about the grow has more or less gone according to plan and so it has been a very enjoyable grow on top of that. ❤

Will let her go the rest of the night, then chop her tomorrow after the lights have gone out. She’ll have only been in the dark for about 6-7 hours by then, which is a little less than I generally prefer, but as I’m harvesting her for her seeds rather than her Flower I’m not too worried about it.

Meanwhile the clones are looking very happy today and once I have the big girl out of the tent I’ll be able to start moving it to the new grow area and re-setting the bed and Blumat system. So hopefully won’t be much longer till I can get the into the bed, under the Timber, and see what she can do when grown Sinsemilla style. :blsmoke::peace::leaf:C36221D2-F18C-4A13-8AB6-1EDA5D1930FB.jpegDA993376-FD7B-41BD-BE63-8E51D19B05B7.jpeg95C52822-47EC-4A5C-B938-FE653F3DD516.jpeg59E21B38-47F4-4C31-93BB-C8276CCC2120.jpeg88BFCBB1-050F-4E48-B8F9-2CFEC864DBC8.jpeg84997305-6B44-4BFF-8E8B-ED3DA85B4361.jpeg110EC8EA-FD88-4F5C-9196-6D266073A7C0.jpeg

Lady Skunk is hanging and drying. Got a bag on a chair underneath her to catch any seeds she drops while she hangs. So far, between the ones I collected from the foil (both while she was growing and while I was harvesting her), the ones I collected from the bag I put her in, and the ones she has dropped into the bag/onto the chair since she has been hanging I have right around 100 seeds so far already collected. But this is sure to be just a drop in the bucket as far as what she has produced in total.

Meanwhile the Mainlining clones were getting huge, so I decided to Top them again and fill up the clone tray. Found a local group on Facebook where people looking to give away clones to good homes (free of charge) can connect, so I’m not worried about taking too many and not having anywhere to put them.

Also decided to move the Monster Cropping clone into the big tent under the Timber to give myself more room in the Veg tent, but I kept her on the riser and in her tray so there is no chance of her roots growing down into the bed and making it difficult to eventually move her outside, which is the plan once the days get long enough and weather gets warm enough.

Got all 4 Mainlining plants LST’d today. Still a few branches that have yet to be tied down, but I at least got everything even so they will hopefully catch up.

The 4 plants that I put into the big tent under the Timber (3 Monster Croppers and the 5th Mainling plant) are all doing well and filling out nicely.

Meanwhile, the smallest Monster Cropping clone is doing well and I’m starting to see some yellowing on a few leaves on a couple of the Cuttings in the dome. Shouldn’t be long now till I start to see some roots poking through. ❤

Mainlines were looking extra happy this morning. Looking like they are definitely enjoying that V2 Veg mix I fed them a couple days ago.

Plants in the big tent under the Timber are also looking quite happy. Fed the 3 big ones some V2 Veg as well and the 4th one is gonna get rehomed today.

Finally, the smaller Monster Cropper is also looking good and I’m seeing both some yellowing leaves and new growth forming in the cuttings, so should start to see roots poking through any day now. ❤

Well, yet again life threw me a few curve balls and the Mainlines wound up getting ridiculously tall and pretty hungry. Sadly my Vivosun tent, which I would up permanently gluing the Orca to, tore in 3 of the 4 corners when trying to put it back up.

So…wound up having to buy a new tent as a result and decided to upgrade to a 4x4 as well as go with one of (if not) the only matte white interior tents on the market, Bud Box.

Also decided to build myself a 3x3 SIP bed as I’ve honestly been wanting to try one for a while and figured that this was the perfect opportunity to do so. Plan to revive the Blumat system at some point in the Future as well, but for now it and my fabric bed are temporarily retired.BB89CA4B-753C-4EE3-8910-62CE67B6E2D1.jpegC9F93157-D481-4C4B-972B-65B925DB7C20.jpegC37B1E00-61E0-4BE1-BC87-A4C3B6DC2625.jpeg02E7331F-9A67-41AC-A870-0EC43B1F732B.jpegAC6B0C81-DAAC-4BFF-A957-EAA5898F24C3.jpeg7904AD83-8E92-47BB-BE46-04EBA9E24905.jpegD7659DE0-FD57-4EAA-B9B4-78B328AE6080.jpegA0A27DF7-F607-4D1E-92B1-17C3372021D7.jpeg

Oh yeah! Plants were praying to the sun gods today! Looking like they are making solid progress and I expect that they are gonna start to really take off soon.

Unfortunately, they are so tall at this point that I think I’m gonna have to Top them again or else I’ll run out of headroom (even with the extra “6 of height).

On the bright side though, due to having a 4x4 space to fill instead of a 3x3 one, I think I may wind up keeping all 16 Tops on each, which should result in an awesome canopy and harvest *knock on wood*.A760D56A-A5B4-4460-A5F0-5DD3C09E6EFF.jpegB79C04FD-8321-410E-A5AA-A0CEDA8E0D41.jpeg

Well, finally got around to Topping these leggy ladies. They are probably pissed off at me right now, but hopefully they will all bounce back in a decent amount of time, and when they do I should have an awesome canopy! Also took a ton of cuts from each, some of which I’ll root and some I’ll give away as cuttings for friends to root.

Outdoor plants are also looking awesome! So finally got around to stringing up 2 of the 3 ScrOG nets. Hoping to get all 3 filled by the end of the month so I can just let them do their thing in Flower. Should get the third net strung this week at some point.3D185207-024A-4EB1-8A0A-BF02B0ACB00F.jpegC04C3568-DABF-411B-A3D0-5D07DEE222DA.jpeg4608C261-A9A2-45EB-8D7B-6AC339EA6F6C.jpeg9F7DDDC9-E4E7-4FA8-B270-D4D990DECBC9.jpegA3880711-8D6A-49F3-9032-C2A3F5BB6B5B.jpegD795FF01-BD12-4A2E-B6E9-0F07ADC6BE31.jpegFAF01B57-9124-4348-8CCD-EBB123571411.jpeg

Girls in the SIP bed are starting to look good. ❤

Meanwhile the outdoor plants continue to fill out the ScrOGs nicely. It appears that I may have burned them a bit though via watering them while it was too sunny out. They are recovering decently though.

Hopefully should fill out the nets by time the Flowering Stretch starts.037CA696-C625-4764-855C-72111A8BE58A.jpeg1402237D-6157-47D8-8062-65F74EF4BB39.jpegC57A0227-9A71-4627-80CA-DCA2C8AB117B.jpeg

Because the plants are in the Living Soil SIP bed and I have nothing to secure them to and not really even a main stem in each to anchor them to, I had to get a little outside of the box with this grow. So, I decided to borrow a page from the Original plant shaping/training masters and picked up a Bonsai starter kit which came with 5 gauges of Bonsai Wire.

Now that I’ve got them all at least somewhat trained I will say that it definitely works pretty well. The only real issues are the potential for the plants to grow into the wire and have it choke them off if I don’t remove it in time, so I’ll definitely be watching closely and at the first signs of issues I’ll remove the wires and hope that the stems have solidified their shapes.

There are 64 Tops (16 Tops on all 4 plants) which have been more or less arranged in an 8x8 grid pattern. Just a matter of letting them all recover fully now and growing tall enough to where I can put in my ScrOG and use it to finalize the spacing. At that point I’ll Lollipop them (possibly taking clones), Top Dress, and Flip them to Flower. Can’t wait to see how this turns out in Flower! ❤

Included are pics of the process from none of them being trained to all 4 being trained. ✌ACDA9457-8477-4950-8081-30C309EBAF9D.jpeg4F73AFB4-01FD-4E95-809E-78E1633992BF.jpegD09C2190-C490-4AB5-A8FF-1ED870AB12F4.jpeg5B67AF64-46C5-48CE-AFE2-1B9E59502B41.jpegD8A5941C-56B9-4954-B718-F42DBF1EAEAE.jpeg

Bed is filling in nicely! Got the Timber up to 50% but gonna keep bumping it up till I get to 75% by time I put on the ScrOG, do my preparations, and Flip them. At that point I also intend to put the TS1000 in the tent as well.D70891B2-396C-4C31-9765-1FAE644FFB84.jpegAB97FC30-6A3D-45F0-8846-187ECD804E66.jpeg

Well, that escalated quickly. :o:shock: Have already had to Top a bunch of branches as they were literally either up past the lights or burning themselves on the lights. Crazy how much stretch and satellite branching (as well as how much more internodal spacing) I’m getting on this grow vs the last one.

Still should be a very dense canopy though with all the Tops that are up in it, but nothing like what I expected when I started this run. 8B94B592-C8D9-4185-A5B8-F105D0C84839.jpegBE2BAAB2-CA41-4D23-9C00-7EDB23D371B1.jpegABBFE0A5-3069-47BE-A51B-405F8146F467.jpeg1E40B3A4-40B4-4422-8802-38C56CDC9E7E.jpeg

Finally getting the grow back up and running. Last round got f’ed by Spider Mites (first time ever that Predators didn’t knock them out) so I just left them to fend for themselves. Actually wound up with some decent Flower but I’m a little hesitant to cure it as I don’t really want mites making a home in my basement and then recurring each year if I can help it.

As a result the SIP bed essentially went bone dry and went dormant, so am in the process now of getting the SFW back up and cycling.

Mixed in some more soil from the old bed into the mulch layer from last round, Top Dressed with some fresh Compost, sprinkled in some MSL Cover Crop seeds, planted 9 seeds from the Original Skunk seed run (as kind of a “test” run in case the mites aren’t completely gone), added a fresh light straw mulch layer, and watered everything in. Also refilled the Reservoir (both via the fill tube and also surface irrigation) and reset the Blumat Moisture Meter.

Now just gotta wait till stuff starts sprouting so the plants can start putting out exudates and culturing microbes.

Will probably brew an AACT at some point to help the process along, but for now the soil is plenty moist so gonna wait till the Cover/Cannabis plants start drinking it up till I do so.

Also, of note, took advantage of the Black Friday sales and got myself a new “proper” light for my 4x4 so should be able to avoid the huge stretch. Went with a @MarsHydrofactory FCE6500.

Still going to use my Timber to Veg or maybe even Flower under in the future as well, and wish I could have gone with a Cypress instead, but alas they aren’t in production anymore. Thanks anyhow to @RainDan for the support and great customer service since I purchased and started logging my progress with the 4VS.

Still, pretty excited to see how the new Bar style Mars light performs in the Bud Box with the SIP bed. ✌❤

18 Canna-Babies are up. Now just a matter of seeing how I did on the odds. Hoping for at least 9 females (and that they aren’t all crammed into one corner or something :bigjoint:).92675436-B8F1-46B7-A8D4-3626DB9045D2.jpeg

Had to trim a few of the Cover Crop leaves as they were starting to shade out the Canna-Babies. Luckily I can feed them to my Bearded Dragon, who LOVES them.

Everything is starting to really grow well so I can only suspect that the plants are helping to feed and culture the Soil Food Web, but to kickstart things into Overdrive I’ll be making some AACT and adding it in a couple days when it’s ready.:blsmoke:FD051ED5-5A62-4668-A2D9-8C07588969B8.jpeg58701C95-E574-46C8-A371-DFDFBB6042DB.jpegC32C074A-9887-448A-B130-D9C03AB76928.jpeg44511D81-FAA3-44B7-9791-111948EC12BB.jpeg

Plants in the SIP bed are growing well, but the MSL Cover is growing so well that it was actually starting to shade out the Cannabis seedlings, so decided to prune it back pretty aggressively in hopes of getting the seedlings to grow faster and hopefully get big enough to where they won’t get overgrown. Plus I still plan to Top each of them and sex and select the clones.

Pics are from before I cut back the Cover and then after.C2FE88D8-693D-4D8C-A1CA-1D51B848F392.jpeg1B552CBF-8367-49CF-96BD-696E447F6ED4.jpeg6C3D151A-7267-4D93-A2F6-470D23B9FD58.jpeg07497BA1-5D0C-4BE3-A6A6-509DD3A79036.jpeg2EA4B632-C559-47AA-A113-ACFAE869ACB3.jpegFD7C1778-CFA4-4E3A-9DB6-41BF1090C178.jpeg

Pruned the Cover Back even harder as it was still shading out a bunch of the Cannabis seedlings. Hoping this will give them a chance to get big enough to where they’ll be big enough to have full light even once the Cover bounces back. 805BB0C2-636F-4961-A978-20A9BACCAA06.jpeg
