Mauler57's Pineapple Chunk and Critical Jack SCROG

Hello all! Been a very long time since I've crawled out from under my rock and poked my head into RIU. I hope everyone is well. Since my virgin grow of "Special Ed", We did our first scrog. I started out with clones of (3)Pineapple Chunk and (1)Critical Jack. Thanks Chickengutz.. Out of the cloner, directly into 12/12. I believe I should of vegged them abit, but they were 10-12" out of the cloner bucket so I thought, this is an experiment. Let's see what happens. Each PC yielded a little better than a zip, while the Critical Jack plant gave us 3 zips. But, My 3x3 scrog screen was only filled about 60%. This time, out of the cloner, into 18/6 of veg for 3.5 weeks. My screen is 110% filled with branches outside the screen. I had 3 clones of the CJ and 1 of the PC. Unfortunately, 1 of the CJ clones just never took off, had plenty of roots....but died after 2-3 weeks in veg.You all know I'm a DWC hydro guy. 400W HPS for veg and flower in my 3x3 tent. I'm using the GH 3 part Flora series with GH Koolbloom as a flower enhancer. PPM are rocking at 1250 and my Ph is 5.7. I don't care about water temp, humidity or tempetures in the tent. Less shit to worry me.....I know all you purists are gasping in horror...Chillax..It works for me, and the proof is in the pudding...So fellow cultivators, here's a few pics of my girls. Nice one mauler, i,d had a quick look earlier but looking again tonight i noticed that photo 10006 realy shows the densesity of that crop. What size lamp were you using for it and if you weigh yours, what was the final weight. btw i sincerely hope there identical Thanks TCD

Thanks Trich. I use 400W lighting. I usually use metal halide for veg, but my brand new MH bulb blew out within 2 weeks of usage. I just switched out my HPS for the blown MH. I have a fan blowing between the light and the canopy plus my light is also air cooled, so I keep my light about 6-7" above the canopy.As I mentioned before, I vegged for a little under 30 days at 18/6 light schedule, and than switched the lights to 12/12 a little more than a month ago. Tough to tell with the yield. I do weigh it up, trimmed wet weight and than weigh itagain after they are dried and cured. The Pineapple Chunk from the previous grow gave me a little more than a zip (dried) for each plant, and the Critical Jack gave me 3 zips (dried) per plant. But this was all without vegging. Right from the cloner into 12/12. With the veg this time and from what I can see in the tent at 33 days flower.......I'm thinking maybe 2 to 2 1/2 of the PC and hopefully 4-5 z's of the CJ. As for the weight being the same...I wish! I usually see 75-80% loss after drying and curing..Thanks for stopping by my friend.

I can see from your grow, that you use CO2, chillers, 1000 watt plasma, Advanced Nutrient's full line, and change your nutrient solution every week, fans to exercise the stems and make them strong. You got it goin on! Don't stop doin what you're doin.

Lol, This next grow is goin to be the tester, where I go two grows without changin my nutrient solution. I was also thinkin about fixin some of the light leaks in my cabs, but then I figured fuck it, duct tape is expensive. I think I'm gonna start a journal on my, " I'm doing everything wrong grow". Whadya think?

Hey RIU. I'm planning to take these 3 girls down this Friday. This is week 7.5 in flower with an additional 3.5 weeks of vegging. These strains...2 Critical jacks and 1 Pineapple Chunk were very sensitive to feeding and I found anything over 1000 PPM is WAAAAAY to much nutes. I had horrific leaf burn and struggled early in to control the overage and wild PH swing from the silica, (upward ph swing) I use GH Flora Series with the Lucas Method. In veg, I added Silica Blast and GH Diamond Nectar humic acid. in flower, strictly FloraBloom and Micro with 1/2 dosage of GH KoolBloom at every feeding. I let my PH float between 5.5 to 6 on the PH meter. The grow space is 3x3x7 tent with a 400w HPS with the girls growing in an 18gal DWC. The budsites number 113!, with 4-5" buds. The leaves are turning yellow and the buds have swelled nicely. Here are a few pictures to show where I'm at. Sorry for the quality, it's my cell phone as my girlfriend took my regular camera to Arizona for a few weeks. Hope you like!!

Awesome. You'll love the PC. I know I do. I did 2 grows with my current strains and not sure what's up next. I have seeds from 19 different AAA+ strains, all feminized. I'm thinking Northern Lights and a kush, either Resserva Privada Sour Kush (aka Headband), or My GreenHouse Bubba Kush. Or maybe since the kush is gonna stink up the room, maybe run with both kushes. Decisions, decisions.....

Hey RIU. The girls are set to come down tomorrow morning. With my gal gone out west for awhile, I'll be harvesting and trimming myself....ugh..So many leaves.. Anyway, today is Day 80. The trichs are roughly 90% cloudy, opaque, with the rest still clear. I've only seen 2 or 3 individual amber trichs..... I emptied out approximately 1/2 of my rez and added an equal amount of clean, Ph'd water a week ago with the start of the flush. The leaves started yellowing about 5 days ago and have steadily lost thier green. The colas have made thier final push of swelling and "appear done" to the eye. There is very little white pistils still evident as most have redacted into the calyxes. I have 2 Critical Jacks and 1 Pineapple Chunk. I was extremely happy with my scrog with 100+% screen coverage. Hoping to pull 8-9 zips. It should be close. Here are a few pictures of the girls sitting on death row. Hope you like, I know I do! Compliments and critiques are both welcome.

I harvested 3 weeks ago and and yielded 46 oz trimmed WET weight. After a 4-5 day dry, They were jarred up in qt. Mason glass jars. My weight after the DRY was 10.5 zips, 2.95 oz of the Pineapple Chunk and 7.55 oz of Critical Jack. After a 2.5 week cure, the weight dropped down to 2.5 z of the PC and and 6.35 z of the Critical Jack. I still cleared 1/2 LB with 3 plants in a scrog. I consider it a successful grow. The Pineapple Chunk actually turned purplish, I guess cooler evening temps in my grow room.... I currently am running clones of Blue Hash Plant (1), The Purps (1) and God Bud (1). I've had them in veg for almost 3 weeks and they are about 14-15" tall. I plan on changing from 18/6 to 12/12 this weekend.

CRITICAL JACK

YIELD----10/10 Can't beat a scrog!!

BAG APPEAL---- 9/10 Look for YOURSELVES!

SMELL and TASTE----10/10 The smell is so unique. It almost smells like a sweet, burning rubber, but in a good, ganja way. The taste is coming around after 2.5 weeks cure. Tastes heavy and sweet and expands quickly in your lungs. Definately be careful!!

HIGH---10/10 Take 1 hit, you immediately feel it start behind your eyes, and work its way across the top of your head. A second hit is all that's needed to get you a very up, cerebrel high. Definitley a sativa type buzz. Probably could of gone another week to 10 days of harvest. It keeps you wide awake, so not for insomnia.

YIELD----10/10 For a pure indica, I was happy to pull almost 3 zips from 1 plant.

BAGAPPEAL--- 10/10 See for yourself!!

TASTE and SMELL--- 8/10 Smell is not sweet, not dank. It fools you.It does sweeten up with the cure. The taste is just ok. This is my second run with the PC and I had the exact same results, both grows.

HIGH--- 8/10 1 hit, you get stoned and go about your day. 2 hits is couch lock and 3 hits is snoozing within 1/2 hr. I wish I would of taken her a bit earlier

OVERALL SCORE 8/10

can't wait just got two pineapple chunk clones.
