Transmittance isn't efficiency!!!
And I'm having hard times believing that KB lenses are more efficient than the Ledil ones.

different tech the kingbrites are glass and the ledils are silica gel.

I understand that. Yet I've never seen a lens from a respectable manufacturer with efficiency over 93%.

@silvrsurfer77 Yes, the sides of the heatsink are drilled and tapped, the cover screws right on.
This Italian company is making some silicon lenses , but they aren't claiming high 90% transmitance.

I ordered these lenses, good price, I got 20 sets for $59. I wonder how good they are? no stats on light transmitance

@silvrsurfer77 Those lenses are just fine, they are the same ones everybody (ebay, kingbrite, etc) is shipping from China. They claim 93+% transmittance.

Thanks Already ordered them, they shipped out, we will see how they are. Im using tents so im not sure how much i need lenses but cant hurt lol

no, i didn't. I devised a scheme to start a reputation here for about half a year to build up some internet street cred. Next I created a fake diagram (see post #40), meticulously fabricating yield numbers on a per plant basis. The trick here is to make the numbers believable , like getting a couple wrong answers when cheating on a test. ololololololl

I am not as excited about this khatod lens.
The 120 degree spread is wide but ok. however this lens is designed to spread most light on sides. Not too much light in center.
Overall not a good light distribution for growroom.
Looks like its for Indoor lighting application.

I'd say the opposite. This gives you very even distribution - no hotspot in the center.
BTW batwing pattern is widely used in street lighting.

I recently tested samsung strip LT-A302A and it has a similar beam angle. The light on sides was 2ce the light in center. But that was a strip.
you may be right. Little difficult to read this 3d chart to guess intensity on sides vs middle. I will see if they can send me a sample for testing.

@SaltyNuts I'm just breaking balls, no pun intended, lol. The final numbers dried, cured, bagged and saleable/smokeable was indeed 1.4gpw I considered this run to be excellent, i used the term sub optimal because I was able to identify some areas that I could easily improve; like cob spacing, pruning, and reflective baffles.
if you look at the pic I posted above that shows the footprint in relative colors you will see that the center is not weak, its relatively even.
