Mature Small buds - early flower

Good day,

Just curious if anyone has had a situation like this happen. I suspect it could be genetics.

I am in the process of flowering Gorilla glue lemon, purchased through seed pharm online. Sitting at week 6 of flower at the moment. All buds look to have completely matured early however are extremely small. Maybe 2" diameter at best. Do I continue growing these for a few more weeks to see if they gain any mass or do you think its going to be part of the hash pile lol.

Growing indoors, in an rdwc system with a chiller to maintain 68F water max. Several air stones, two decent air pumps for the x4 buckets and x1 rez. Using GH neutrient line with hydrogaurd just because lol. Root system is massive, plants are about 3ft tall, nice and bushy. PPM in flower has been around 900-1200.

I said before that I think its genetics as I had a buddy who is growing the same strain with the same issues.

On a separate note, was kind of disappointed in seed pharm. They accept reviews but won't post them publicly unless there all good. I was thorough with my review giving the good and the bad. As the buds do look very frosty but the weight is an issue.

PS I thought maybe they were pollinated as that would explain the red hairs but there not recording as much as I would normally see when being pollinated. The bract calxy is also not seeded

Cheers all!!

Genetics 4 sure. Hello I'm the new guy.
My little White Widow clone better not be flowering.
Just got them 2 days ago. My new ac infinity set up arrives tomorrow.
4x4 / 69pro+ bla bla can't sleep. 28 packages arriving this week.
I can't really see from that picture but clones taken from a plant are the exact same (minus genetic drift but besides) if the parent was mature which it kind of has to be if your going to take multiple clones, then it was probably showing sex already. My girls throw pistols and calyx as early as the 3rd week. They aren't flowering though.

Why would the red hairs mean its pollinated? I didn't know that was significant

If you put pollen on white pistils they turn colour and recede and then start forming seeds.
That's the purpose of pistils
I had known that but my girls always get red hairs even when not pollinated? Or is it something else were talking about maybe im confused

I have a plant that’s looking similar to yours. It’s a seed that was one of a few that popped up in a clone from my last run…..I was told the clone rodelized and essentially pollinated itself.
The clone produced about 4.5oz of dried manicured buds and we found about 10 seeds total.
The strain was outstanding, so I decided to grow one of the seeds. Anyway, I think mine has N toxicity big time and has curtailed the flower production. I would also bet it has some seeds. Your plant is the same dark shade of green as mine. My top heads are a little bigger but the stacking below is very leafy.
Too much N can cause similar effects.
Just like U, I’m too far along to do much about it. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll dial down the N the next run in hopes of preventing this. Your buds look awesome.

Hmm I did not know that about the white pistols Thanks.
I'm struggling on week 2 in veg with keeping my VPD below 1 kPa.
Tring to program the Ac infinity 69 pro, But every time I go to set a schedule for the light the light turns off. Will complete darkness for 30 minutes cause an issue during the daytime? Probably end up throwing another light source in there while I set this controller up.

I probably could of worded it differently.
Pistils do all turn red and recede, but doing g it early is a sign of possible pollination.

Who knows, maybe the smoke is crazy good.

I think the obsession with fat buds is a bit over rated. Dont get me wrong, I love a big ol cola as much as the next cat, but at the end of the day, the high is what truly counts.
