Mature buds

Guys im puzzled with these ladies. There only 4 weeks & 3 days onto flower and some buds have atleast 70% brown pistols!

Do i leave them on or do i chop them off to alowe light to other buds???

Check out if the trichomes are transparent or milky white. If it shines in the light it's not quite ready yet, but if the shining has stopped due to milky white trichomes it's ready. Yes - then you can harvest mature buds and give more light to other buds.

Where would i find the trichomes??

trichomes are the little crystals (hopefully) covering your buds and other leafs. it's the active ingredient that gets you high.

Lol yrah it has loads of crystels on it. And i just never heard it called trichomes. Just thc ect ect.

Hehe - ok, but the crystals are the only one best way to make sure the plants are fully ripe. You'll get some very potent bud even though you harvest a bit too early or late, but to control it you need a magnifying glass.

The color of the hairs doesnt matter as much as people think. Some strains will keep white hairs all the way through harvest

My thoughts too. I think you have a hermaphrodite. If the plant isn't fried and still has good color to it, yes, your plant was pollinated, either by its own self or another source.

Your trichromes are naturally going to be turning amber, that's because they're deteriorating, not because they're ready. Also, look closely, the pistils are probably dying from the inside out, instead of from the tips of the pistils in, another indication of pollination.

a friend of mine had the same problem, i found out why after seeing the way he handled his buds... he would take one give a good squeeze to see how solid they were and within a day or 2 the pistils exactly where he touched were dying back..mostly from oils and dirt on the hand
