Bonjour
You have 6sq/ft so 6x30w=180w.
A hlg 185-1400 with 4 is not enough for you? 200w!?
Did you take the b version?
You're going to have a lot of light!!
Have a great day ★
What is it that Im not getting, Jacob? Am I missing something about dissipated watts and actual canopy watts? Because just by looking at it, it would seem that 72v by 0.7 A turns out to by ~50. or why not? Yes of course I want a lot of light! I am already running the SGS-160 by Area 51 (160watts), and now I want to upgrade without ever having to look back. Im still learning, and in no hurry. Id rather do it well than fast, so please show me, what I am not taking into account! :) Please. I love your consistent good mood and nice comments, keep that going for you!

It was just a question...why this much intensity almost twice most the cxb user have...thats it!
i do not pretend in any way know more much better things than anyone here at all if it is what you mean...
And sometime maybe I do not express myself correctly...sorry.
Peace and led

Dont say sorry to me, I simply thought, that I had misunderstood something. I am not good at electrics yet, but Im getting there! :) Im very fond of your input. I have read a lot of your comments and youre always polite and nice, and you know a lot. That is why I ask. Perhaps I am putting a little bit too much power in there, but right now I am a little disappointed with my buds, and I only want to upgrade once! :) So I figured, with the COBs, and 6 50w emitters, I should be able to do some nice ones, right? at least light should no longer be a concern. Thanks your for fast reply :) (electricity is not crazily expensive where I live, but HID and HPS are not for me, because it is hot here :) )

Anyway...if you have too much light finally...you just have to turn one pannel off and everything would be fine
Have a great day ★

Hlg-120-1050 for 4 cxa
The hlg-185-1400 is 144v max and 4 cxa 148v it is a bit too much...I believe it would work but it is not going to be 1400mA...
Go to the thread driver matching cob...lol...ho you are...then go to page 1!
Have a great day!

@SupraSPL do you have same thing for Vero10 and 13...and for cxb/a 2530/40(Are they all around 36V?)for vegg pannels or for short boxes??
I ask cause my vegg box is 31inch tall and I want to try Vero13 or 18 to grow 12inch(1foot!?) to 16inch tall plants and be able to put the lights as close as possible!
And do you believe that in vegg with vero it is better to use it at high power (2100mA!?)but I don't want to go under 40% efficiency...
Have a great day ★

What do I need in terms of wires and cables? Is there anything you would recommend me? Ive just written a local heat sink company to see, what they would suggest for 150watts passive or with only one fan. :=)

For the wires 18awg should be fine...and if you have ideal holders you will need single core wire or tinned multiple core one to be able to connect them to holder...
About the hs...are.you in EU?

Hi there

The chart says a HLG-60H-C350 can run 6 CXA3070's but after reading this:
http://www.meanwell.si/datasheet/HLG-60H-C-HLG-60H-C350-RPT.PDF

I don't understand how it will be able to run the cxa3070 at its optimale setup of 37v / 1400ma (the setup where the photon flux is at its best)

Can it run 4 of those at that setup ? if not, is there a driver which could run 4x 37v/1400ma ?
Research here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/cxa-3000k-80-vs-93-cri-an-estimation.833171/
The HLG-60H-C350 can run (almost) 6 CXAs, but they will be a 350mA. If you laready have the CXAs and you want to run them 50Ew ea, you can put 3 of them on an HLG-185H-C1400. If you have not bought them yet, you can get CXB3070 or CXB3590 36V instead and run 4 of those at 50W ea on the HLG-185H-C1400

Sorry I have not done the charts for the smaller COBs. The easiest thing would probably be to use the efficiency charts to search out the best cost/efficiency in a small size and then you could settle on a good driver match. Maybe you could find a cool white small CXA on clearance somewhere?

Cool, Ill see if I can get hands on those. I dont have any of the stuff yet. Since Im in South America, I cant afford to buy stupidly. Only once, to make sure that everything that needs to be imported, is bought once only. Otherwise it gets too much of a hassle ! Thanks again, Jacob! :) Have a nice day

56.7%....wow great for a vegg pannel!!!
Those cxa 2540 sounds great...now I have to source it!
And find their specifications...to know how many would fit on the hlg-120-350b...12 I believe...for 10sq/ft vegg...and if I can count on 1 foot penetration...good for my girls!
Thanks again

Thanks as always supraSPL...
Hlg-120-350b + 12 cxa...
Why cxa instead of cxb?
Why W2 bin? Is it the best bin in 5000ºk available?
Is there better bin in 5000ºk with cxb?
Is there just a problem of availability since I only need 12 atm?
I hope digikey have some...it would easier for me...
I believe kb have some but moq is 100 pieces...I should email Jerry to ask him if he do not have a few to sell? Maybe he can sell me 20?
What is the lowest price you saw for those?
Thanks CU
