I have used Dutch Masters since long before the change to Gold. I have followed them for many years and am still happy with their products, doing soil now so using something different but i still have piles of samples laying around.
I have run 2 different set ups with Dutch Master Nutrients since the change to gold.
1st is just as the website says, i like to run hot so i don't mind their high numbers, rarely burn anything. Zone is essential, but is not for growing roots, it is for "conditioning" the root system, and basically is a sterilizer. This will take care of all disease risks, but bugs can survive it.
2nd is omiting the extremely expensive add .27, and replacing it with dutch master advanced MAX (not MAX-fx that is a foliar spray). You use dramatically less Max than Add .27, and it costs less. You can edit the calculator on Dutch Masters site for this conversion, and i think it may work better, not much but great.
The one big difference i have seen between the old advanced line and the new gold line is the plants now branch unbelievably, probably twice as much as they did, requires more trimming to keep things orderly.
Need any help with this i have lots of experience, feel free to ask!
