Massive douche in grow shop

so theres a little grow shop not far from me and i was thinking of getting a new duel spectrum cfl light, there was an 200watt envirolight light in the window 3 spectrum blue-red and purple at a rip of price of 65 pounds sterling (about 100 dollars!) but someone told me envirolight stopped making cfl's and they were very good so i thought rather than waiting online ect i might buy it. so i go in and ask the guy can i see the box for the light in the window to check light spectrums ect, he mumbles to himself and gos behind the counter and hands me a 100watt blue spectrum cfl, i say thats the wrong box its the 200watt 3 spectrum am looking for. he mumbles again and gets me a cheap 200w red spectrum cfl. i tell him again thats not what am looking for its not the right spectrum. he says very angry THEY ARE ALL THE SAME IVE BEEN SELLING THESE 10 YEARS I THINK I KNOW WHAT AM TALKING ABOUT! i said forget it goodluck and when i was walking out he shouts GREAT. i took about 5 steps outside and my blood started to boil! only for i have changed my life around this last year i would of left that shop with bloody footprints! am still mad as anything 5 hours later.
anyone ever treated like this in a grow shop?

not in a grow shop....... but i also have a hard time not busting asses when people talk to me like that...

theres only one single reason i left that shop without blood on my hands and that was because the guy was about 55 years old. if he had of been someone under 40 i dont think i would be posting online at the min id be in handcuffs

thanks mate i just smoked one, the reason am so mad is because i used to be a drinker and would never ever of let something that that pass without violence, weed stopped me drinking and made me a better person all round its just sometimes i think about what i would of done weed really saved that guy today

I feel that. It's always a hit or miss with grow shops and glass shops in my opinion.

I would suggest having a younger dude/ette helping you out. With most places I have been, its the older generation that tend to lash out when you are looking for specific things. (Their way or the highway).
I'm judging but, through my experiences, I have almost never had someone who was younger lash out or treat me wrongly.

Haha what an idiot, the guys at my local shop are ok apart from one whos a bit mardy... Dont think he would talk to customers like that though, you should have showed him that they arnt all the same, could have just made him worse though so maybe not.

Its his business hes wrecking doing that anyway so more fool him. Good for you for leaving it! Peace.

Yeah you need to vent about such things I was asked to leave my local Home Depot store after dressing down the manager loudly and rudely in front of everyone. He had his finger on the security button on his walkie talkie the whole time but I never quite gave him enough excuse to push it.

A big store with discount prices maybe but I don't understand what they are thinking in a small local store when they treat customers like this. They are competing with the online merchants who undercut them severely and sometimes deliver in 2 days for no extra charge. The only edge a small store has is the quality of service.

When I shop at local business I make point of buying from them even if it's a bit more expensive. I don't like to just check out their stuff and then order online. But if they are jerks I will do just that, check out the item on their shelves and then order it online.

i could not agree more mate, i was gonna buy a bottle of ph down and a bottle of nutes too but i ended up buying nothing and wont be in that shop ever again

that sucks, my hydro store has some of the nicest people working there. you aint going to spend $ if your mad so i think they try to keep people happy

Find a good local shop and support it. I find 50 percent of shops are full of dicks that wanna be rockstars.

am in ireland mate there is not another grow shop within 150 miles of me so i will just be buying online from now on

Bloom & Grow deliver all over Ireland, and they definitely don't wanna be rockstars.

that's so shitty. my grow shop has the nicest people in there. there's one guy who i think is a little slow but he's very knowledgeable and is always concerned that people get what they're looking for and understand the products. it's actually a little annoying when i'm in a rush and he's rambling about some product but i love the guy. if he doesn't know the answer he asks someone who does. when service is so good that i consciously notice it i'll usually continue shopping there even if i think i can get a better deal somewhere else. if i was the op i would never set foot in that store again. there are about 7 stores (not grow related) that are on my permanent blacklist. it's the principle.
