first good day in a month today sunny and 77... anyone else having a drooping problem... i went out and a couple of my guys where droopy, i thought it was from the sun today as they haven't seen it in a month.. i tried to shade the ladies that where drooping hopefully it helps.. anyone else have this problem? maybe its from over watering
I'd say don't shade them, and just let mother nature do her thing. The drooping is probably from over-watering, and you shouldn't shade any of this rare sunshine you have haha :leaf:

my friend bergie is a little tapped because of a labotamy (sp) years ago but he believes he can control the rain. if anyone pisses him off he says hes gonna cause a drought to get back at them. i remember he said that about someone who burned him and it didnt rain more than a sprinkle for weeks. maybe you should come down here and piss bergie off
haha thats funny as balls lol

they sell it at homedepot, or any other graden store from what i have seen..

coil metal?... like the copper from a coil?
just the metal shaving coils that ya get when you thread a pipe. works amazing for slugs and keeps mice away too because it cuts there feet im guessing.

ahhhhh yeah that makes sence, i just took a shit ton of wire from one of my buddies who is an electrictian and stripped them all down.... but after everyting i have herd about copper i still find little sluggs on my girls time to time.. guess you can't beat them all.

where did you get that stuff? i've been using coil metal shavings around the base of my plants.:weed:
I went to Lowes for the Ortho product, but they were all sold out. Gardener's around here are having all sorts of probs with slugs. I went to a mom and pop garden center and I found it there. They also carried an organic product but it was 13 bucks more...organic=better growing, but also equals more $$.

the HomeDepot near me has been out of slugg bait for like a week and a half, along with all the other garden stores around me. I just found out that my wal-mart has a garden section i didn't even know about.. i ended up geting double the amount of bait for half the price

RI here, started my girls in late March, even with all the rain no issues. Standing about 2' tall right now, couldn't look better. I'm suprised though, they took a hell of a beating.

got some montahs going in the berkshires. rich dark soil and openings in the canopy from the ice storm. this is the year boys! if your plants are doing poor, you got the wrong spot.

hey guys first post here but figured this one would be good to reply to
ny here
yes the rain does suck
but some of the best pot comes from where i am near
mine are thriving
i have a friend that got some at the same time i did and his are comparably smaller which i believe feeding them helps and little more care than normal
rain water makes for less watering and better taste i think
prob watered thre to four times so far this year
im forgetting something but whatever im ripped

yeah the only up side of the rain is i dont have to walk out to water them... i have only watered like 4 times also, and it was only for a medium to put the plant food in. but we got some a couple of nice days in a row... looks like we finally got the summer weather, am i going to have to be the first person to put pics on this thread to get it going or what?

i only use the berkshires as a pharm, but they are beautiful. last time i was up there it was raining pretty hard and my camera phone didn't do the trick. but i have one that's pushing four feet, and another that was topped by a deer (thanks bambi) that has sent three new leaders up and is around 3 feet. transplanted some mountain mist that wasn't doing so well indoors and they're struggling to catch up to the others, but still fighting strong. i just found my camera charger so hopefully i can get some photos up for you horticulturists to scope.

hahah well put, ill try to get some of mine to but its a hike out there i will just grab some next watering. i wish these where not so shady, it would save me a good 4 mile walk into the woods and a half hour drive  all in the name of science!
