IF CAUGHT WITH UNDER 1 OUNCE the fine is $100. If you are under 18, parental notification and a class needs to be taken. You can still be arrested for "driving under the influence" if you are driving. Local city and towns have added punishment of their own. My town has a $350 fine on top of the $100 fine just to make sure your not toking disrespectfully in public. If you are carrying less than an ounce packaged for re-sale, they will try to get you for selling, then all bets are off. BUT>>>>>if you are caught 500 times with a joint, that will be 500 $100 fines. Be smart and respectful.
