I used to run 4 Mars 180 watt in a 4 x 4. Worked well. This was in 2013. I imagine the new ones are more efficient.

I'd say it will work but it's a little less than optimal. 3 Mars Hydro sp250's would be a better choice. Or at least add 1 more ts1000.

recommend consider TS 3000W, The light covers at least 5x5 during veg and 4x4 during flowering, though it is only 450w, the PPFD reaches the canopy will above the needs in that coverage, which will help you get great results.
We also improved on this light to two of the Meanwell driver and put extra wire on the light to help you move the drivers out. It is a monster light. We have faith it can overkill the 800w HPS and also better performance than the ones in the market which are over 800USD.
You will get one light, one pair of rachet hangers, warranty card from us when you get the light.
It has two big differences from the other TS series lights.- The Mars Hydro TS 3000 is using two of the Meanwell driver. 
- We add extra wire to the driver so that you can move the driver outside of your tent. Or if you don't like the extra wire, you can also cut them, there is a connector on the wire you can do this conveniently. You can also just leave the wire on if you don't want to do anything with it, when we pack the light, the wires are tied up already!
