Hey everyone! HUGE HUGE shout-out to @MarsHydrofactory and Rollitup for this AMAZING gift that has been bestowed upon me! The Mars Hydro Smart FCE 4800.

It was very easy to assemble, also very lightweight considering its size, of the total 17lbs I would say 10 or 11 of those lbs is just the driver. I tested it to make sure it worked before installing it in the grow space.

First, I started with a Mars Hydro TSW 2000, which is too small for a 4x4:

It's a great light, but my buddy was tired of seeing me harvest 2-3oz plants and offered me his Spider Farmer SF4000 to borrow:

This is the SF4000. Its also a great light, but quite heavy and although it's a VERY intense light, does not have great spread to the walls and corners. Notice the huge amount of apace between the fixture itself and the walls:

With the newer FCE 4800, the edges are MUCH closer to the walls:
PXL_20230609_030038291.jpg
This definitely allows the plant material closest to the walls, to still get great light intensity.

Getting the height set for the tallest plants. I've decided to keep the light at 16" from the canopy and starting at 75% intensity (pictured is light set at 20%).

Aaaand we're all set! All plants started flowering under the TSW 2000, were switched to the SF4k for about two weeks, now finishing under the FC E4800. The one furthest in flower was a late-bloomer from the previous run. After this, I should be able to fill the whole space with similar aged plants. FINALLY, i should be able to get "boutapound" off three or four plants! I might even calculate gm/watt this time!

*edit: upon seeing this pic, I see that I need four corner ratchets because the light looks like it's not level.*
Two of the three plants are praying HARD under this light. The one in the tan pot has its tallest tops now at 41" and 40", in fact I had to lean-over & lasso them down:

Everything is hitting week 4 so I hope they're done stretching, but I do still have some headroom if needed. Tops are now within 13" of the light and still doing really well.

I like how you bent the tops in a direction to fill the canopy. I appreciate your lst skills and canopy management. Are you also creating knuckles etc? Keep up the good work peace sdd420

HSC Nutter and original PBB are virtually identical right now! Great stacking, nice early frost, this is the type of structure I like to see when approaching mid flower.

Kropduster is lookin a little wierder, but that's not unusual for PBB, it's a funky strain with a propensity to look weird:
PXL_20230626_031741416~2.jpg
It's even doing the "pigeon toed" leaf thing like a typical OGKB leaner:

So far, so good. Everything is stacking nicely, pretty sure it's all done stretching but I still have some head room.

Alright, so, I told myself I'll stop staggering plants in flower, but this PBB is overtaking my 2x2:

The seedling in the cup is 15 days old! It's getting NO light, so I have to move things around again:

This will be the very first plant I've started flower under the FCE4800, the other three started flower under a TSW2000, then got a SF4000 for about 12 days and now the FCE which I've had running for 22 days. All plants under 11 on/13 off lights, currently light is at 100% and is 13" from the tallest top. I didn't measure it, but the new plant in here is maybe 17-19" from the light.

The Slurricane plans were scrapped, I dropped a single fem instead. Humboldt Seed Co's Raspberry Ice Cream, an off-menu item. Raspberry Parfait x Ice Cream Cake.

PXL_20230704_034027009.jpg
Original PBB stacking well, and STICKY AS ALL HELL.
PXL_20230704_034014230.jpg
Nutter Budder doing its best PBB impression.
PXL_20230706_040313367.jpg
Kropduster PBB still lookin crazy, but not bad.

Just put a 5ft cage on the final PBB, I'm not fuckin' around with floppy branches this time! This oughtta do it.

PXL_20230720_035314181.jpg
Nutter Budder looking absolutely GORGEOUS. Great stacking, great aroma, just great.
PXL_20230720_035320421.jpg
Original PBB not stacking as well as Nutter, but superior in every other way. Looking like it may be done before Nutter but we'll see.

Just getting things going for the next flower run under the FCE 4800:
PXL_20230731_050814634~2.jpg
Raspberry Ice Cream is an untested/unreleased cross from Humboldt Seed Co. Raspberry Parfait x Ice Cream Cake.

Chernobyl I've grown once before and it was AMAZING, it's really going to add some variety here.
All Gas Og formerly "Asphalt Plant" I'm really hoping for some brakestand burnout terps.

Garlic Budder. .. welp, i think the name says it all  hoping for some buttery, garlicky dank.

All of this should go into flower in 5 weeks. Should I start a fresh journal or just build on this one??
