Market it going down fast

I predict by this time next year, indoor bud will go extinct...

There will always be a black market but what it'll look like its hard to say and yes its possible it actually might die. Also I personally can't see that many people even bothering to use their 4 plant limit and grow. There's will be hobbyist like planted tank/aquarium guys but that's about it. I think it would be a different story if plant # were like Colorado.

Umm sorry but once its legal and store fronts open up there will be no dispensaries. Do you actually think someone who just opened up a store, would risk buying illegal weed and lose their business? LOL get real buddy.
nope...their problem will be selling their shit
most will do what they have been doing for ever...

not buying LP shwags and growing heir own.

It wont be worth growing under lights much longer...commercially anyways

Ill take that bet..what are ya wagering? lol
Sure there will still be the odd person doing it in their home but even LP's will all be greenhouse operations in order to survive. To get a price break on power you would need to be using 350kwh per hour...or use 250 000kwh per month.

Or you can get a 50% discount using new LEDs...just wanted to add that. The sun is cheaper obviously.

50% discount?...you think theres a rebate for commercial grow operations? Sure you can save energy using LED's but I still dont think its enough.

50% of the wattage ~= 50% discount on the energy used. That's all I meant.
oh...I get ya now. I heard 35w/sqft of led is equal to 50w/sqft of hid but I'm not completely sold on that yet. Still though considering the upfront cost of led compared to hid...it will take some time to see ROI.

When a lb is going for 500 or less...wont matter what kind of light your using.

VS the Canadian population very few people are actually growing for their own consumption vs for profit. No one in their right mind would spend 4 months growing 4 plants to get a LB of weed, besides a few hundred hobbyists.

I have a customer who was testing Fluence LED's. It cost them $2300 CDN for each panel and I think they're about 700W. They did produce good quality and weight but $2300. They tested out Gavita 1000W and were getting the same quality and weight as the LED. They're bought 100+ Gavitas off of me in the last 3 months. So $575 for a Gavita or $2300 for a LED panel with very small amount of power saving. The ROI is just not there, if this was 10-15 years ago that would be a different story when weed was still $3000 per lb.

And those power savings might go out the door when you need to heat your rooms in the winter.

I disagree, even greenhouses need copious amount of fixtures in Canada. Outdoor/greenhouse will mostly be for extract/edibles, for true connoisseur grade flowers indoor will be king. People will pay for quality, my buddies will still pay $200/oz for the good stuff. Small batch, unique cultivars, culture driven (aposed to corporate driven) farms will always have a place in the market.

Itsme.

I highly doubt it, but time will tell.

Fluence will be my next fixtures, they quoted me $1280usd for 60 spydrx plus , currently using China DE’s, they are 1/3 the cost of Gavita. Vertical integration will be key in the future. Can’t do that with HID.

Well we'll have to see what they mean by "craft growers" I can't see current LP and applicants being too happy if the regs for craft growers are reduced by quite a bit vs what they had to go though. Will also wait to see the first "craft growers" how much they can sell their stuff to the LP's for. Wonder it it'll be round 2 of "master growers" invading the "craft" industry and how they deal with not using pesticides.

They already have been reduced drastically. No more vault, no more cameras in grow rooms, cut data storage in 1/2. Huge savings!

“Master Growers” lol, WTF is that?

With right environment controls and bio security, no spray crops are obtainable.
