Thanks for all the answers - I appreciate everyone's feedback and assistance (except blake9999 his comment was just pure troll and toxic)
Maybe it is nicotine withdrawal didn't think about that... but usually people who quit cigarettes gain an increased appetite not the other way around?
I don;t think he intends to troll, some people just never get the withdrawals from weed... I know..

For me, if I can hit that 14-day point, I'm over the worst.

The dreams come back with such vengeance. That is true for me as well. Good luck with resetting, it's good to get centered and really 2 grams is way too much, smoking for the sake of smoking. You're going to be supper happy you're doing it.

Hi guys,

I've been smoking for 13 years now ( about 2 grams per day with 25-30% tobacco mix).
I went to my lung doctor last week and he told me that I have to stop smoking if I don't want to make my asthma worse. Also I feel very lazy and I don't get shit done so I think quitting and becoming an occasional pot smoker in the future makes the most sense for me.
It has been 4 days since I quit and I still have "withdrawal symptoms" ( I know it sounds stupid ) such as:

  • Difficulty sleeping: I feel tired but I can't sleep properly... it takes me hours sometimes to fall sleep.
  • Strange Dreams: I dream of video games I played or I have horrible nightmares about my girlfriend being injured and other crazy stuff. Also I had dreams of smoking weed a few times.
  • No appetite: I literally only eat 2 eggs and a few peanuts in the past 4 days - that's it.. I feel like the food has no taste whatsoever and i always feel full. I'm honestly starting to get worried since I already lost 3KG.
  • Anger issues: I get irritated very easily and it feels like I'm looking for confrontation to let out my anger... I feel really bad about that because I'm usually not an angry or vengeful person :(
  • Restlessness: Shaking my legs all the time feelings unease with myself.

I wanted to know if this is normal? Has anyone experienced something similar than me? Or am I just losing my mind? lol

Thanks for the help :)
I've had great success with herbal sleeping tablets and cheap beer

join a swim pool or gym

IMO go get a proper check up

good luck

Hi again,

Thanks for all the responses and help with my issue, I honestly didn't expect so many answers. :)

Small update Day 7 now and most of the "Withdrawal Symptoms" have disappeared completely.

- I don't cough as much anymore
- I feel more productive and less lazy
- The strange dreams and nightmares have decreased
- I don't feel angry anymore
- My appetite is back :) Hitting the gym really helped!

Food still tastes "different" to me because I'm used to eating when I'm high and it makes the food taste so much better :D
I have to admit though that I still miss smoking weed since it has been such a big part of my life.
I will keep my break up for at least 2 months and try to become an "occasional smoker" after that.
2 grams per day was just too much....

I would like to thank you guys once again for all the support and tips you've provided me with.

PS: Some asked me where I was for the past 4 years, I quit growing a while back so naturally I stopped posting here.
Perhaps one day I will return I really miss growing it is a lot of fun, especially because the community on RIU is really great and always supportive.
Some of my grows would have went to shit without you guys <3 big love :)

This is toke n talk
You’ll get trolled here it’s the name of the game
You gotta just deal with it and laugh it off or you’ll make it worse like your withdrawal symptoms that are no big deal and probably more so nicotine related

I find the more breaks you take, the easier it gets, my withdrawls last 3-4 days now.

I also get dreams and a few hour long toss & turn session when i stop but you haven't lived a dream/nightmare until you slept a few nights on a tobacco patch tbh lol.

When i travel with no flower and I know I might have a hard time sleeping that night, I just physically push myself extra hard that day to help prevent it, it without a doubt helps me.

For the most part it's likely the tobacco withdrawal, takes a few months for tobacco cravings to slow right down. All those things you say happened to me when i quit the smokes cold turkey.

I used to smoke my cones spun as well. When I quit cold turkey, I quit spin too, it took a good 2 months or so until green had the same satisfaction as it did spun. Felt like I wasn't getting as high.

It's the tobacco, hands down, i'd put all my money on it. I quit tobacco several years ago and still get the odd cravings for a split second, even though i don't want any at all.

I don't believe cannabis becomes physically addictive at all, but it certainly is psychologically addictive ime, in a habitual kind of way.
It helps me sleep, so first few days without i find it hard getting to sleep. I really enjoy cannabis too, i get those "jeez a smoke would be nice right about now" feelings for a while, but the same can be said for anything you enjoy doing, but don't do anymore.

It's the tobacco bro, quit that shit if you haven't already. It's as addictive as a meth habbit!

:peace:

IMO its the tobacco giving you withdrawl symptoms.

Every time i try to quit darts Iget odd dreams and such.

Ive gone on vacation a few times for a week or so without weed and never had withdrawl symptoms
