I wanted to poll here people who smoke or have smoked.

Do you think marijuana has any effect on your hair loss (preventative or opposite)?

So, curious if anyone has noticed that smoking may prevent hair loss and help keep your healthy set of hair , or the opposite if marijuana may increase hair loss and speed up male pattern baldness.

Just curious, so people post any current input you may have here :)

Totally random and probably nothing but....My dad has two brothers(my uncles, duh). My dad and uncle #1 smoke pot and they both have a full head of hair. Meanwhile uncle #2 who doesnt smoke pot, ciggs, and rarely drinks is about as bald as you can get haha. so maybe there is a sign here?

Nope. My brother and I both smoke daily, I'm 27 and he is 29. I have a full head of hair and he has been bald since he was 18. It's genetics man.

interesting to hear. Just curious, did he smoke before he went bald (before 18)?

its a genetic trait, but I know enviromental factors do play a roll. My friend and Fav Crew Chief to fly with was practicly bald by 24 but, he was not when he joined the squadron. The reason we believe was he flew alot, alot and had to wear a flight helmet for long periods of time. I think this may of had something to do with it.

lol anyone who wears a hat for more than 4 hours a day even above the head (i.e chef's) etc.... will still lose hair faster than people who do not wear a hat due to the fact that the air cannot circulate and represses air folicles from growing, they then become blocked with a mix of sweat and body oil's which occur naturaly....cannabis or anything else has nothing to do with it
