Hey everyone,
just wondering if anyone has tried maple syrup to fatten up buds instead of molassas? Which is better?

has anyone tried using maple tree sap too? before its been boiled down into syrup?

All replies appreciated from the great white north!:weed:

I've thought about that once before too. I'm not sure what the process is that the buds go through that makes them process the molasses but I think maple syrup has a lot of sugar added to it now, or fructose corn syrup. . . so it might just gunk things up. I guess if it's in a pure, natural form it could work.

This wouldnt be any processed stuff, I have a lot readily available, and a lot of pure maple sap too, and i was wondering if the maple syrup or sap would work the same? my ladies are starting to bud and i wanted to see if i could help them along.
its all natural.

If it's all natural, I don't see what it could hurt. I'm sure maple trees drip stuff on to plants and the ground around them all the time.

Your right, it probably wouldn't hurt them... and the sugars and stuff shouild help the plant.
I was just hoping someone had already tried, and gotten some nice fat buds from it in the end :leaf::-P

Molassas when watering your budding plants can increase the size of the buds... Im wondering if maple syrup would do the same thing? maybe some people have tried it out before?

I'm thinking that it would gum up the plant. But then again, you would think so with molasses too. Dilute it enough would probably work, but I have never heard of anyone doing it.

On a brighter note, it would probably be some good tasting smoke.
