Are you growing multiple plants in one pot? That is not a good thing to do for the situation you are in right now.
Cut it off near the bottom. Try not to shake it.

cover it with a plastic shopping bag ot collect any pollen and chop the base.
cut the branches after and set them in ph'd water at an angle to collect the pollen in another room. paint that on a female branch or two with a qtip to make a bunch of seeds and start crossing.
