Male Plants Sexing Before Flowering?

I've got candy kush just at 8 weeks old on 24/24 (CFL and T12's) and, if I'm not mistaken, I'm seeing some balls starting to hang over. I thought they didn't sex until you started flowering them at least 12/12? Am I really high, or does this happen?

It can happen this is strain dependant of course. I have seen clear indication of sex after a plant with an unknown sex has been in its vegetative state around 4 weeks time.

Agreed with Cali.. some strains dont have to be on 12/12 to show.. at week 8, I'd think some-most would show by then whether on 12/12 or not.
