Is that the tightest shot you can get? I see something similar to what I've been looking at with some of my own plants at the base of the.. calyx (I think that's what it is) and the branch at the node. See here: Preliminary Sexing, check out the attachments. I had to take the lens off the camera and flip it around to get the macro close-ups (my camera with the 10x optical zoom is not working), and when I compare some of them to some pix I am just not certain. Time will tell!
Especially look at attachment 3 in the post Plant No. 5.

i dont see any female hairs?? but my eyes are kind of squinty right now
