I'm pretty sure you figurered it out by now, but these "Balls" you described are pollen sacks. I believe only male plants carry pollen which can be compare to a male's sperm(Hermi's carry both). But this does't mean all your hard work was done for nothing! You can make profit from those males plants, if you deside to research a little harder. Boom

If you can upload pics to this site try uploading them to a photo sharing site like photo bucket. From there you can use them any where.
