I flower mine when they're 10 inches or less. It'll triple in size, depending on strain.
My plants are over 3 foot tall at harvest.

these plants are currently in 12/12. the lights come on at 2am in the morning and dont go off till 2 pm in the daytime....if i was to change this timing around so the light comes on in the daytime and goes off at night would this affect it and maybe turn it hermie? or is it best to leave the timing alone cos im kinda losing sleep over it lol <fire worries>

sounds perfect bongjuice.what amount of bud will i get if its that small?
Depends...
I usually get an ounce or more.
That's what I shoot for. If I get an ounce per plant, I'm happy.
I have a perpetual grow, that I harvest every 2 weeks.
Which is why I bloom at 10 inches or less. Due to the fact that when they're in vegg (for 2 weeks) that's all the growth I'll get.
Then boom...they're ready for flowering.

I grow my plants fast for a number of reasons though.
Number one reason is of course I'm on a 2 week schedule.
Number 2 reason is the fact that once my plants are cut off the mom,
they're life cycle is only about 90 days or less.
There's not enough time for pests or diseases to really set in.
Plus I repot very often to keep pests and all kinds of other bullshit to minimum.
I don't have time to be screwing around with bullshit, I'm always friggin trimming all the time. :-P

You wanna wait until this plant is at least 2 months old before you start taking cuttings off of her.
Cuttings taken off of a mom that is not even 2 months old may develop unevenly and grow slowly.
Remember...
The key to strong vegetative growth and a heavy harvest is supplying roots and plants with the perfect environment.

thank u bong and thank u ironlings..i am going to tie it down a few times and n cut clones off it in a few months then. got slight problem tho being as in the nighttimes it gets cold because the heat from the lights go down to around 20 celsius.... this enough to kill a plant? cos i think i need a tiny radiator to keep heat at a constant level....

Your temps during the day should be around 26-27, at night 20 is fine. But don't go lower than that.
If your able to, get yourself a digital thermometer that reads farhenheit.
Farhenheit is more precise.
Just make sure that if you have any fans in the room, that they turn off as well.
Keep your intake and exhaust running at all times.
