Making your own seeds

Mr. Amos Otis, please tell me after one pollinates the flowers, from that point, how long will it take or be before you see any signs of seed/seeds starting to form ? Thanks man... I might of screwed up be placing collected pollen in a pill bottle and then packed in uncooked rice in the middle of a glass jar with a tight lid. It was placed in the frig for nearly 4 weeks till I took it out and let it sit opened for a hour before pollinating a female with the paint brush method. But, its been 4 1/2 weeks now and I don't see anything that might look like the starting of seeds.......? :peace:

I haven't been following along, amigo. I'll hand your question off to these other folks.

If the pollen was viable you would see signs of pollination within the first week. The pistils would turn brown and recede back where it was pollinated at. If it's been 4 weeks and you don't see no seeds then the pollen was no good as it only takes 4-6 weeks to get fully mature beans

Right on brother! They'll look shriveled and burnt if she takes. Make sure to do it as early as possible for plump mature seeds.

Huh? So 3-4 weeks to see signs of seeds?
That is very inaccurate. :dunce::bigjoint:
I said "i think" 3-4 weeks after pollination you should see seeds not signs, i remember reading ,there were no answer at that time was just my 2 cents from what ive read im not a breeder, how long after pollination will seeds be produced? not signs of it

4-6 weeks for mature seeeds? So that means there should be seeds 3-4 weeks after pollination, seems i wasnt so inaccurate after all

If pistils are not receding then chances are you did not successfully store the pollen. Sounds like your method of pollen storage wasn't necessarily bad though. I do know a lot of people struggle to keep the moisture out of it. It doesn't take make to make it useless.

Pistils start to turn orange and recede/die off after pollination. That's the first tell tale sign other than a wack load of pollen coating your plant.

Also, the time it takes for seed to be ready will vary a bit from plant to plant.

Hey everybody........ Mind if you could peak at this flower and possibly tell me your opinion....does it look like the Pistils are or have started to turn orange and recede/die off ?? Thanks :leaf:

Wow Man, I see the difference. Your pistols are very done over compared to mine....and that;s only 3 days for you......Fuck me, mine must of not taken....that blows cause now I gotta get another THC Bomb seeds and hope that one will be a male, don't have no more pollen left to do my Pineapple with. I hate having to order through the freaking mail cause I spazz-out every time someone walks up in my yard (LOL) Hey, thanks for the pics :peace:

After three days in the breeding chamber, with a Cerberus male, my girls are all kinds of knocked up :D

Chucky's Bride
Two of my all-time favorites - great choices. I've got Chucky pencilled in for a return date in mid summer. Will take clones of several regs, a few Chucky's among them, and sex them outside around 8 / 1. The sun is like having another closet for 3 months.
