Making Your Buds Change Color?

I brought out colors on 5 strains, last 2 weeks 70* lights on and 65* lights off. Purples, pinks galore

Strains that naturally color without lower temps? My grow is always 70f highs and 61f-65f lows and the only strains that color in those temps are strains that produce color no matter the temps. Some pheno's just turn color no matter what. Im growing a strain right now that turns purple under cooler temps and im in the last two weeks and everything is green except for the pistels that have turned orange from whiteish green. I dont think I entirely believe the increase of K either because I increase PK throughout every grow I do. The only time I get colors other than strains that color no matter what is when its cool enough outside that I can't get my night temps just below 50f for the last two weeks of the grow. If increasing alone worked my plants should be people right now because my ppms are 1800 per week and its mostly bloom products high in PK. Cooler temps work reliably.

Oh yeah - adjusting K levels up works!

Your problem is your doing both at one time!! Your not running a higher K BASE level! Running that higher K during veg is important too! Increasing K levels OVER your PK "boost" is mandatory!
Simply put, Raising K levels does effect coloring...

Jasmonic acid works great,if you use it in hydro,cut your nutes by 3/4 or you will burn them.They go from green to purple in 2-3 days.

Why would raising the Potassium work alone but not work if the Phosphorus is raised also? That doesn't make sense to me. I dont mind doing things like that and the temperature drop but I dont want artificial color caused by that purple crap, or food coloring. Id rather have green buds with orange, red, or gold pistils rather than doing that.

By raising P levels too much/too early, you will discolor the plant by early yellowing!

What you wanna do is find some seeds from a purple strain them find you a male you think looks legit and touch that pollen to the hairs. Bamm you're gonna see purple plants all over the place in the next gen.

not the best pic but kind of right middle front just left of that 2 liter cola ( hell yeah i'm bragging) anyway that's a 3 way cross between a very old afghani x NL5 x 90's urkle. that was a week ago it's a bright purp now.

They look amazeballs! what kinda bud food are you using? I'm looking for suggestions on something new besides FF tiger bloom and big bloom. No problem with em, I just like hearing different methods to boost yields. Partially becuase I'm LSTing a few Gorilla Candy (GG #4 x Papas Candy) to be huge bushes while I wait for whats flowering now to finish. This strain is supposed to have extremely high THC content alongside a bumper yield. Wish I had pics of the plants referred to but I only have a pic of their mother. This Gorilla Candy is from eva seeds

dynagro foliage pro first 4-5 weeks flower basically I feedfull strength to label then next day they get a strong compost tea I feel this negates the effects of high salts. then water and repeat. week 4 I used dyna grow bloom at twice the rate recommended and then week 6 same thing. week six ends any additional nitrogen and I taper off the bloom from a full dose to a qtr dose over the last 2 weeks. all these numbers I just named are based on 60 day cycle you need to use nitrogen longer if your cycle is longer. I feel the compost tea is key I ditched the filter for it and was applying 1 lb of compost particulates in the tea over the crop once a week through harvest. I'm talking regular compost from a back yard not a commercial type there is a difference. I could not have ran that high of feed without everything burning up without the compost applications.

That's awesome I've been wondering when the most effective time for compost would be and lately have been a little scared to use since I'm not aware of the potency. This past run I've substituted my compost for a solution of black strap molasses/water. BRO I have the solution for nitrates through all cycles tho, that shit is old news I'm gunna fuck your head up. Been reading heavy into companion planting. Since I use 3 or 5 gallon pots standard, I have a lot of surface that dries thoroughly between waters (and can be a pain to re saturate. ) I started using Dutch micro clover, or "mini whites". Thebplant naturally adds nitrogen to the soil while keeping a lot of moisture in the top layer of soil making every water much less flush-y. Even towards the end of a flower cycle they are still big and strong. Now after a year or so of testing I found that clover are emo plants (next to cilantro) . They wilt and stand up and wilt and stand up... it's the perfect indicator for feeding schedules

The "cold" trick only turns the leaves purple. It doesn't turn the buds colors. If you want colored weed then grow a strain that has color.

you can fart on them the last week before harvest to change the colors

Don’t try to force plants to lockout a necessary nutrient component for flower so you can have pretty(debatable) weed. You lose yield and potency. If you want purple plants....buy seeds for strains that’s naturally turn purple....

You’re intentionally hurting your plants for bag appeal....just sayin
