making the most out of a small budget stealth grow

Hi, I plan on doing a grow in a full tower computer case. What I plan on doing is using

4 indica plants
-LST
-Screen of green
-Miracle grow

6-10 Cheap CFLs(Not sure whether 2700ks or 6500ks, but fairly sure its 2700ks)
Assuming their at least 800 lumens each, and no more than 1600.

My questions :

Will it be an ok grow with just these sets of bulbs for the whole grow? Will i get a decent yeild (one or two ounces). Buying any other bulbs is seriously out of the question for now. What is the best way to maximize my yield for this grow. It is not out of the question for me to buy more of these same cheep bulbs.

PS, it is possible that the bulbs come in both 2700ks and 6500ks. But i can only buy one set, not two. Being that i have to keep it on the same bulbs for the whole grow, should i try to make it 50/50, 75/25 , if that is the case?

4 plants is pushing it for a PC grow. You might be better off doing 1 larger plant and LST it.

4 plants might be possible if you do like a party cup grow, top and lst. But I would try 1 plant first.

CFLs, 6500s for veg, 2700s for flower.

You could also go the autoflower route, and add 1 seedling every 3/4 weeks into the grow. That will let you harvest every 30 days roughly, every 30 days you pop in another seedling since your lights are on a 12/12 cycle start to finish. The only downside is you have to keep buying seeds as you cant clone autos ( you can but not recommended ).

For now though, id say start with 1 plant and see how 1 plant does in a PC grow. Your top priority though should just be to get from seed to harvest successfully. Dont worry about yield size, time, etc.

and welcome to RIU!

Thank you ! What if i can only have one set of the lights? Would it be possible to have a successful grow with just 6500s, or just 2700s?

Im pretty sure you can do seed to harvest on 2700 alone, just 12/12 from seed.

Personally, id prob say the 2700s are fairly more important than 6500s, if you want good buds that is.

You can do both though if you feel, you can mix both spectrums it wont hurt your plants any.

Alright. So i found the bulbs today. Turns out they have both 6500k and 2700k. The 2700k is 9 watts and produces 500 lumens , and the 6500k produces 900 lumens(13 watts). How many and what combination of these bulbs should i use for the optimal grow.

Can someone please answer my question?

Jeorge Cervantes said it best, and i quote

"CFLs produce very bright light with relatively low wattage. The best values are 55-65 watt bulbs. These bulbs are bright and inexpensive. Smaller wattages are less bright and very low wattage. Larger wattages are bright but more expensive."

5000K (cool white) do well in veg stage of growth
2500K (warm white) do well in flowering stage of growth

I have grown with CFLs exclusively from seed to harvest. My experience with CFLs have lead me to "light, whispy, popcorn size buds" I was disapointed and ended up saving up and buying a 600w HPS grow light with digital ballast. It made all the difference in the world. My buds now are tight and dense. Just by putting that light in increased my overall yield by at least 30% over the CFLs only.

If you still insist on using only CFLs make sure that the lights are very close to the plant (1in - 2in) and the more you can put around the plant the better off you will be. Just dont expect amazing yields from CFLs exclusively.

This is my opinion and my personal experience with CFL lighting. I hope this helped.

Peace
