making pre-bottled nutrient mixes...

Hi Guys,

I'm leaving abroad for a few weeks but I'm on a tight feeding schedule as my plants are flowering.

I was wondering whether its possible to stick my nutrient solutions into small bottles, so that whoever is taking care of my plants can just pour that into the right amount of water?

this will save the hassle of teaching them everyhting and what needs to go where and how much...

what im trying to find out is whether the nutrients go wrong when they are mixed without water and left to sit there for a while in a closed bottle? would sticking them in the fridge help more?

the nutrients ill be mixing:

biobizz grow
biobizz bloom
Iguana Juice Bloom
bat guano premade tea

any thoughts?

as far as i'm aware they're stored seperately for a reason, in that certain coponent don't sit well in the same bottle etc.

honestly though. you have 4 different additives. how dumb does this caregiver have to be for you to not trust him to add 5ml of grow, 5ml of bloom and then 5ml or the other two, or whatever quantities you use. it really ISN'T rocket science.

it isnt rocket science but i'm extremely anal about my babies and i give them a lot of love, i find that when people arent excat and careful when watering, the plant reacts badly, and usually when i come back i see a load of yellowing leaves and so on...

but you do have a point...lol

short story is at the end of the day, they're not you so they won't be showing them that love.

for two weeks i'd just play it safe and tell them to use just the biobizz in safe quantities, and just accept that there might be a little yield loss, but hey, it's better than chopping them early isntead :)

Why don't you just premix it for them in water. Then leave specific watering directions for them to go by. Sounds simple enough to me.

Good luck.

if they are left mixed up in water for too long they take a turn for the worse. they will often seperate out and just become a slime around the inside of the container and such.

best way to make sure he/she does it right is not to pre mix them all together, but to measure all the feeds out, and then just tell him to add one of each colour to X amount of water each feed. so long as he's got the parts all pre measured for him, then not too muich to go wrong with. don't forget to remind him about PH'ing though, even i forget to do that at times

pre measuring each nutrient seperately sounds like the best idea...

PHing is the least of my troubles as long as he sticks to my water and amount guides because the ph always comes out the same that way... around 6.4
