making pollen hash, heat or freeze???

Ive always made the hash by rubbing dry sugar leaves and small bud through a very fine stainless steel micromesh. Then wrap it in a clear wrapper and wrap that in wet newspaper then put it in a warm over for 10mins. Bring it out and roll it with a rolling pin. Repeat the process twice and let it cool. 1, I wondered what would happen if I warmed the dry leaves and bud for decarboxylation to intensify the THC then pass it through the mesh and then continue with the rest of my normal process or 2, freeze the dry matter to help release the trichomes from the matter then complete the rest of my process. Has anybody tried any of these methods. Thanks

I just pressed some hash from dry ice extraction. You might try that method. Seems rubbing dry material over a stainless steel mesh would introduce a bunch of plant matter.
