making my own soil mix

Will the miracle gro organic mix, peatmoss, and perlite be an ok mix? Ill be using superthrive and the 12-6-8 or something ferts from miracle gro.
 
i gotta get some new soil too, im not liking this miracle grow shit too much. holds water too well, i ended up overwatering before i got a moisture meter and it hasnt been watered for 4 days and its still around the same level. I could use some help putting together the right indoor mix, and how much of each part i mix together i.e. perlite/soil etc.
 
yeh Im using the MG moisture control right now, and im not sure if I like it or not yet. does hold alot of water though, but the top dries out so fast, and the bottom stays wet. Plants seem to be likeing it though.

The MG all purpose nutes are alright, just make sure you start at a very weak strength, do not do what they say on the box, it will burn your plants. Start at about 1/4 tablespoon per gallon. Thats 1/4 of what they reccomend, then slowly work your way up.
