Making Green Dragon ( PICS )

I am using half of a fifth of 80 proof Red Stag By Jim Beam, and an eighter of 3 different buds. I have Jack the Ripper on the left ( 1.1 ), Some Silver Haze #9 i grew in the middle (1.2 ), and some AK Blueberry on the right ( 1.2 ). The fifth will be in my freezer for two weeks, then im gunna slam it. By the way that Reg Stag is the shit, drink that with some sunkist and your golden.

how do they make those pot soda's the sell at dispensaries i wanna try one of those so bad, but my state no likey pot

Yea its a tincture, instead of using a solvent that you eventually boil out to make honey oil. you can just use the alcohol as the solvent then drink up. it just takes a little bit longer, i heard 2 weeks to a month. it also makes the whiskey easier to drink for me. I actually should of made the thread name tincture instead of green dragon lol, good call.

I've never made green dragon but is the waiting period really neccesary. A fine grind, good deal of agitation, and a fine mesh strainer and you should be golden one would think. :)

Im not to shure on the waiting period, this is my first trial making it myself, i have only tried a friends and then decided to do research and try it. i have read that if you use everclear which is 151 proof you dont have to wait as long lol but then again i read if you use something that strong it will destroy some of the properties that you get you high. i figure since Red Stag is only 80 proof then i should just let it sit a good two weeks, i read of a man that lets his sit for a month, he says the more patience the better. His advice was the 2 weeks to 1 month waiting period, so since he is experienced with it i figure i should try his minimum and see what happends from there. I will post an explanation of how fucked up i get when its done. Haha and hell yea on that discin comment. One of my fav. things to do is smoke a blunt while discin, sidearm 4 life.

my everclear is 190 proof..... lol, I like disc golf, but I mainly just like to smoke and watch my freinds play, i dont like chasing stray discs into the water hazards lol

i think i'll use makers mark maybe mmm what about wild turkey 101? to strong? maybe gin for some really good martinis, shaken not stirred

I doubt purer alcohol will degrade the thc.
And thc should be more solube in purer alcohol.
Just like how you can make hash from everclear.

I just finished making two different batches:

The first batch I used 1/2 oz bud, ground it up in a coffee grinder, placed on a cookie sheet and put in a 260F oven for ~7 minutes. This activates the cannabinoids (mainly THC-A) Then, I placed the bud in a mason jar and filled with 190 proof everclear until just covering the bud. Then I cooked it on the crock pot for a couple hours to speed up the process of extracting the cannabinoids. This method yielded very potent green dragon. 1 teaspoon mixed with any beverage would give you a nice buzz and alleviate any pains. 2 teaspoons puts you in a coma. This made about 40 teaspoons.

The second batch was the way theyve been doing it for thousands of years . Prepared 1/2 oz bud in the same fashion as batch 1, only you dont cook the jar in crockpot. You just let it sit on a cool, dark shelf for 1 month. Shake it everyday and take the cap off to realease pressure. About 1/2 teaspoon is a good buzz, 1 teaspoon is extrememly nice, 1-1/2 puts you in coma.

So you're basically saying that the only difference between the traditional method and the practical way is that if you don't let it stew for a long time it wont be as potent by one quarter. :D

I'm saying that keeping it in a jar for a month is a complete waste of time when you can spend 4 hours one day to make the dragon.
