Making Female seeds 101

Ive seen a lot of ways to make fem seeds but this seems the most natural and reliable. Most strains if you let them go long enough past peak flowering will throw a few bananas (pollen sacs). Watch for these bananas to appear, collect and freeze. Take the same strain from the same mother and 2-3 weeks into flowering get out your pollen, turn off the fans and brush the pollen onto the lower buds. Don't use top colas, we wanna save those for smoking. Wait a few weeks and collect your female seeds. Now what happens if you take the pollen and use it on a different strain...IDK haven't got that far yet. Any questions or comments welcome.

You will just create a new breed. I do it a lot now since I have learned about creating feminized beans with Colloidal Silver.

Can you help me get started? I lost my notes on using colloidal silver but I think it said use 300 to 500 ppm of silver. Is that correct? and to spray the girls twice per week for three weeks and then force flower with 12/12 and keep spraying until the plant is covered in nuts. I used to use hermies, but that got old and I want more control, and less space used which femed clones provide.

Cary,
Sounds like an interesting chemical free method. One hint I would add is to allow the pollen to dry for a day before freezing. I understand that will improve viability after thawing. That's how me and forum buddies did it back ten years or so. We would mail pollen to each other as a way of sharing genetics (safer then seeds).

Do a google..lot's of info.

I make my own CS and couldn't tell you what my ppm is. Don't have a meter..:o
I do believe, I read somewhere a solution of CS from 30ppm and up.
I spray twice a day, once when they wake up and once before they go to bed.
Can take 2 to 3 weeks before you see nutz. Then discontinue spraying.
Oh' don't worry about the shinny silvery stuff you will see on the leaves as you continue your routine.
When CS solution is exposed to light. The partials turn back into Silver.
That is why they recommend storing your CS in the dark.
Sometime the plant will look all Fucked up..no worries.

These are 2 different cloned strains in the front. Clones are in their 1 week @ 12/12 flower of CS treatment.

Won't take anything away from Ringsixty's info, because that's my setup too.

30-50 PPM CS is what most recommend. A cheap TDS meter will help you dial it in if necessary.
