Making a clone from a 6 foot plant?

So long story short my property might be getting a fire marshal inspection (clean premises notice) and I have a 6 foot monster that's growing in thick clay between planters so unearthing it doesn't seem possible. Could I cut it from the bottom of the stock and dip it in rooting hormones and plant it elsewhere? I live in a legal state but your not supposed to grow outdoors technically in my area. Also I just don't feel comfortable with someone from the city seeing a big ass plant or any for that matter.
If you've got 2 weeks then hit Google for "air layering"
Allows you to root the clones up while they're still on the plant so you can take massive cuts.
Just need some rooting gel or honey, a razor blade, plastic bottle/pot noodle cup and a little bit of soil or coco.
Bigger the cut, the bigger the tub. images.jpeg-2.jpg

Update: were getting a crew of landscapers to deal with the problem tommorow so I'm just going to finish it and start my indoor grow during the winter.

I'm getting one of the top of the line LEDs. I was considering getting 1000 watt hps for flower and cheap 600 watt for veg but I've been seeing a lot of people pulling crazy yeilds with leds and autos. I prefer photoperiod but autos are a lot more efficient as far as just doing one grow tent and harvesting every couple of months.
I get that but my point is that running 20/4 @ 1000w uses the same amount of electric as running 12/12 @ 1000w PLUS air conditioning for the whole house when its 90+ every day. Ive never understood why people are so worried about perpetual harvests. If I get a couple 3 pound harvests per year, I'm good with that.

The light I'm using only uses 650 watts but I've seen people pull 2-3 pounds from one grow from this light. Also I'd be running in 18/6. Also uses a lot less ventilation/less heat. I haven't gotten it yet I might still go photoperiod hps. As far as perpetual harvests I share my weed with my girlfriend and we both smoke a lot. Also I have access to basically a library of clones of different strains (because legal state) so I'd like to switch it up/save money and still get to try a lot of different strains. They make an autoflower version of pretty much everything so I'd be doing a variety of strains with each grow. That being said, autoflower seeds are impossible to get in my area other than online which is another bonus for going photoperiod and hps flower/led veg.
