the butcher of hallucinogenic techniques strikes again!! a large glass jar the size of 10 pf cakes was colonized. it was dunked then a layer a verm was put along the bottom of the jar the cake was placed on top and was then covered the rest of the way with verm inside this glass dish. a chicken out happened where some of the verm was dumped out leaving it with 3/4 of the verm coated cake exposed and the bottom sitting on a bed of verm. pins began to form not out of the top but from the bottom side where then verm bed was holding some moisture. this is crazy because theres like 20 pins here that were going to bump into the glass or grow into a pile of verm. i flipped the cake over so these pins in the pic are on the top/side instead of the bottom/side. more pins were growing out of the bottom into the verm bed.

can verm get in the things? is this how hippies got the word crunchy?

if the verm wasnt dumped out would they be growing out of the top? if grown in this fashion should the verm had a chance to fully colonize before fruiting?

Don't worry bout the verm, just pick it off when u flush

I would wait until they are dry. So much easier.

it looks like these will all be aborts as the biggest ones are getting caps while their still tiny

i think if i covered my mycelium block with verm in that glass dish and kept it incubating it would have taken over the nutritionless substrate and would have been ready to fruit cleanly out of the top surface am i way off?
