Ok, Just did it and can't believe I haven't seen the panning for gold analogy mentioned. I grew a too big Thai so I've got a bunch to play with. Here's what I did:
1) Started with 2, 8 cup frozen Ball jars
2) Stuck 3 cups ice, 3 cups Thai calyx buds, rest with almost frozen water in the two jars and talked my wife into helping me shake the heck out of them for 20 minutes.
3) Put the two jars in the freezer for 30 minutes.
4) Grabbed one of my wives clear rectangular pyrex baking pans, placed a framed silk screen I got from Michales Craft store over it.
5) Poured the contents of the two jars over the screen. I then grabbed the "bud cud" (I gotta copy write that) and squeezed it to get as much liquid flowing through the silk screen. It's real obvious.
6) I laid the Pyrex baking pan over a gel cold pack, the kind for a bad shoulder.
7) her's where I developed my skills in turkey baster use.
It becomes obvious what to do. Sucked away the water.
9) What's left is a nice tan slurry.
10) I'll stick the pan in the sun tomorrow but as of now, I'm pretty stoked and will do this again for sure!
