Yoyo Y'all,

So I have my mother plants that are going to stay in vegetation for a while for cloning purposes. So with that said, these sweet bitches (lol :bigjoint:) are growing BIG. I want to top them however I'm concerned about damaging them as them stem is so large. This is my first grow however I'm am on top of every problem within minutes. Obviously everything is going well, this is month 3.

With all this said I just want to know if it's okay to top my plants with stems so thick... ??? I am purn every couple weeks and do sum SCROG'ing but I need to top them as they are getting way to TALL. I need them bushy'r not taller.

Thanks as always for your advice and guidance. Cheers.

Looks a bit late to top if you are scroging, I do it as soon as the main growth on the 3rd node appears about week 2 of veg/seedling.
By the looks of the pic he isnt scroging...as yet anyway. More branching will help fill that net quicker.

Me? Id lower the net. lst and super crop, top a bit, veg and for another 3 weeks and flip. Plus tidy up underneath. Actually do a scrog..Looks more like a support net atm

OP may want to use a stronger net to, branchers are already moving the lines.

Well that's going to be a screen of something...

LoL ! no doubt. Hahahahaha.
Unfortunately I can not find netting with big enough squares. So I put together this as a form of support not so much SCROG'ing...but yes admittedly I hope it can provide a means of SCROG'ing to some degree.

As I mentioned in the reply above, it isn't so much SCROG'ing but rather a means of support. I cannot find netting strong enough and with big enough squares. I've gone to every possible store and nothing but small crap that won't work. I'm open to suggestions.

My post in regards to " topping " were not the plants in the photo, however they are the same size as all of them started at the same time 2 months ago. I included a picture of the ones I'm referring to. However on the topic of the 4 in the photo they are in they're second week of flowering. I will be adding a proper SCROG as soon as I can find one. Hopefully within the next couple days.

I will take into consideration dropping the netting for support lower as you mentioned. I cannot " clean up the bottom leaves " as they are in flowering. I already accidentally broke off a big fan leave on the very bottom but I don't wanna mess with it to much while it's flowering. I've read / studied enough to understand not to fk with it while flowering.lol!

Thank you for your reply and willingness to help. I'm always looking to better my grow so please don't hesitate. I also have 2 different strains that will be getting flipped at the end of the month.
