Major Spidermite Prob Please Help Me!!

I've just identified a major mite problem 26 days into flowering, what can i use to kill them without seriously damaging my harvest or killing the plants, preferably not chemical.

i think the concenus is to use Neem Oil, it's organic and safe for the plants and humans. I just bought a bottle at Home Depot because i just found some spider mites on my clones. You dilute a teaspoon or two to a gallon of water, spray the entire plant with your main lights off, fans too to keep over spray to a minimum. Spray the bottom side of all leaves! Also spray the top leaves and carefully spray the buds. I let my spray set up a bit then gave the plant/branches a good shaking to knock off most of the excess water and hopefully some mites. I've sprayed mine twice now and with any luck the critters will be gone by tomorrow. good luck, I nearly shit my pants when I saw the mites and I can't wait til those suckers are long gone. I was surprised I got the mites, I harvested my main crop almost two weeks ago and didn't notice anything funky so it looks like this happened very recently. Good luck, hope it works for you too!

Cheers mate, I needed these like a dose of the clap. My last crop had a small mite problem about 3 weeks before harvest and the chem killer I had made the bud smell rotten hence the organic preference, anyways thanks again +rep

neem oil is the best and safest but u can also use some soapy water all tho i cant imagine it leaving a great taste, make sure you get good distribution of soultion to your plants both tops and undersides of leaves make sure u spray when lights go off unless you want big holes in your plants lol good luck mate

I was told soapy water by a friend but as you say I can't imagine the taste would be great and I'd probably drown them if I tried to spray away the residue

+ rep. Nice link, cheers man. I think i'll make a slightly stronger neem solution and dip & dry my leaves, try and clear up the worst of it before control spraying.

Purespray green man, and proper delivery device like I mentioned in that other post. truely any oil based product will work but direct contact is needed, all it does is suffocate them it doesn't poison them. oh right, I forgot to plug mighty wash, this shit seems to work and its 99.8335 percent water and the rest inert ingredients.

I have to disagree neem oil is no longer the best solution and never was in my mind.Also to avoid burn just add a wetting agent to the spray and it won't let the spray bead and beading is how burns happen.

everybody says they don't have mites but I'm guessing most DO have them but they are kept in control, I've settled out for that myself. very very strict control so there will be no major infestations. the fucking atomist I bought paid for itself, any oil based product will work to kill mites, you can even make your own if you like , little food grade rosemary oil goes a long way, add some clove and peppermint and you're probably getting close to ed's recipe for zero tolerance. Neem is too overrated when ANY oil will work.

ive always used neem....1 t spoon per 2 litres water with a little non perfumed washing up liquid.......unlike other oils it mimics an insect hormone and stops them breeding, hatching, feeding, flying etc...........its good for long term bug reduction and safe.....can also use on skin conditions such as aczema.....mange, mites and fleas on dogs etc..
