Major Seedlings Issues.

Ok Ladies and Gents here's the scoop. I'm growing 6 Strawberry cough's in soil medium with a 400 watt mh light which converges to a hps light but thats later in flowering, around 75-83 degrees during day hours and round 65 during night with a steady rh between 55% and 65%. Now Here's the problem, All but one is in really bad shape. The best one has a third set of true leaves growing but has a mg and cal. defeciancy due to the miracle grow soil (YES I KNOW ITS CRAP NOW). The others are showing same signs of lock out due to 5.0-5.5 ph but they are even worse with curling up leaves and browning leaves and I don't know if they will make it. Here's what I have done so far to correct problem: Transplanted all of them into the same size container but got rid of as much miracle grow soil off of them as I could without damaging tap root and the replacement soil is now pro mix bx, Next I watered them down with 8.0 ph water to try and level out the ph to stop lock out which brought run off to 6.0 so far, but haven't seen any signs of improvement yet after 24hrs. Maybe i'm looking for quick response from them when I should be patient, I just don't want my girls to die. ANY COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS ARE VERY MUCH WELCOME, I'M A NEWB AND THIS IS MY VERY FIRST GROW.

dont overwater, prob the single most made mistake on seedlings. how often do u water? u shouldnt be watering more than every few days

I use to water only by misting the tops but I learned that was a mistake because the top of soil would only get wet and not the bottom which is worthless. As far as how much I only watered about 1 every couple of days but again that was just misting, but now I am going to water like you said only every few days till some leeches out the bottom holes.

it's not enough to KNOW that MG soil is crap. You have to actually make use of that knowledge and not grow in it.

Well, I would say that you made the right choice in correcting the problems. You did a transplant and you are now giving them water every few days. If your soil is still too acidic then you will want to balance that out before watering or you are still going to have problems with nute lockout. You may want to try and get a hold of some FoxFarm Light Warrior soil, which is perfect for seedlings. Then mix with FoxFarm Ocean Forest when they enter the veg stage...

Check out my journal. I am growing 1 Strawberry Cough...Good luck with your grow.

So here are the girls now that I finally got my camera working, they are at 17 days from seed including the 3 days germ in paper towel so they have been in soil for 14 days. As you can see one is kinda ok and out performing the others. Out of the six im thinking that 3 maybe 4 migh be salvageable but I think 2 are done for. ANY AND ALL COMMENTS ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED AND NEEDED. THANKS SO MUCH.

Ok so far as of today I have only 3 of the girls left and may even have to go down to two which is unfortunate but the two that I will keep aren't looking bad at all and i'm thinking they have pulled through this mess. Its just sucks to go from 10 seeds to two possible seedlings and still have to hope and pray to the ganja gods that they are both of the female variety.
