fox farms ocean forest soil solo cup-1gal-5 gal
lights:
veg 400 watt mh ( is also a led in the room but it wont be under it)
have an
Inkbird ITC-308 Digital Temperature Controller 2-Stage Outlet Thermostat Heating and Cooling unit
hooked to a ceramic heater to keep the lows to 71 Fahrenheit and a window unit ac to keep my highs at 83

with a 4 inch fan/filter exhausting outside
stand up oscillating fan

nutrients: will be that beloved mega crop. but not until a few weeks into their 5 gal homes.

flower:
lights: Amare solar bar8
880-watt power draw (dimmable)
also mega crop nutes plus pk boost and the sweet candy

these are regs so popping 4 in the hopes of 1-2 mom's i will then just clone
into moistened soil last night (12-10)
still learning this damn led light,

really thinking about just geting another 1k watt hps, a light mover and just having a 2000 watt garden with the taxes.
guess id just use this big mofo as a veg light.
just to be clear, my dislike and failures with this light have been 100 % user malefunction, light too high or low or turned up to high ir now what i think spread too far apart, bah, i loved hps, vent your heat and good to go keep em low .... feels so weird seeing 2-3 feet between my lights and my canopy, but i digress
i get forgetful on posting updates and what nots, but ill add pics often, updates semi regularly
dont mind people posting comments or links or other stuff, just keep it cool ok? dont be bashing me cause im doin something wrong, instead help me understand so i dont mess it up again or can make a more informed decision. js
heres just some pics of the current flower cycle

shameless but @hybridway2 does it look like i have my lights hung correcty?
Why you sounding so bummed out bud?
Dont talk like that, you may believe yourself (thinking HPS).
Did you just switch to led from hps?
If do then lmk n we'll start there.

To answer your question, it looks a bit spacey. Mine is set to its limit IMO. If the bars are 8-9" on center then you should be fine. Anymore then that in flower & you're dropping below 800 ppfd. Which is ok but not optimal for bigger buds, farther distance light density, & most importantly, yields.
Floor joists in a basement are generally 16" on center. So, each set of x2 bars, 16" on center then slide bars to be 8" on center & youll cover a 5'x6' area with approximately 800 ppfd of even coverage.
Looks like Canna-Spec?
Dont get discouraged, i wil help in anyway i can.
You have one of the most complete systems available at the moment, other companies are shooting for spectrally.
But i know what you're saying. These LEDs can be touchy to the plant depending on strain & led defficency preparedness.
Just woke up so may sound cloudy.
Holla at me through PM.

Are you in soil or something like that? Cold in there?
Is this normal growth for your garden @ this stage?
in soil, no is slower than normal, i started counting the days on this run as soon as they popped the soil, their actually only 2.5 weeks from time of true leaves, lighting issues and not enough humidity coupled with a few other issues, making for a slower start than normal.
id like to do hydro but i am constantly throwing new stuff in and have different girls on too many schedules for me to use anything other than soil.

they are under a 1000 watt mh, about 5 feet from em, waiting on a beter humidifier to try to help

I see. That makes sense & is in alignment with growth/timing for the most part. Im used to big rooted clones but have been growing from seed lately for some fire Genetics.
In your first post you had said you weren't feeling the Bar-8 but your plants looked nice.
Have you made any headway with that?
Took a little getting used to but I'm loving mine. Hopefully this helps reduce discomfort. 20200114_010525.jpg20200114_010434.jpg20200114_005055.jpg20200113_135418.jpg20200113_135553.jpg20200111_180730.jpg20200111_180914.jpg20200111_131632.jpg20200107_180659.jpg20200107_181244.jpg

PM me broski!
im just not used to it is all, going to buy a par meter with the tax money, i still have em spread out too far and just guess based on foxtailing as to how high to actually hang them, i have a lux meter but it doesnt help. my girls never look that happy or large lol, but its a work in super mega slow progress

Just so you know, foxtailing works both ways. Low light will cause the buds to elongate or foxtail depending on strain. Cuz they're reaching hard for light.
Difference is, one is dense bud with foxyTails or Knots & the other is fluffier foxytails.
Like a plant can pray when its far from a light , reaching for that blue like the sky. Under high intensity even more sometimes as its growing hard n healthy.
Why, if you can make a denser light w/o getting yellow leaves then I'd do that. Youd be suprised how those Foxytails can fill into, dense, large colas/buds.
My light goes as high powered as the leaves will allow.
The way this fixture is designed, you cant really get past 1200 umol when its Factory set, squeezed together. But those #'s carry deep, over distance to the floor.
So its a pretty safe light IMO as far as not overlighting like some had with lenses on cobs.
Ima say it again anyways! I think your plants look good! But only you can judge that.

i just want to do the best im able, and rightnow im not mutiple issues, alot im aware of and working on, alot im still oblivious to. im learnin , need to get em a little closer together still it appears,
i wasnt aware of low light causing FT, interesting, mine are the dense kind, on the stardawg im 99% sure it was mostly genetics, the others in the line with her had MUCH less FT than she did. i just know when im able to fully utilise my light i will increase my everything, so am impatient to learn
however i have Dyscalculia
and ALL led info is is numbers and symbols. so im over here banging my head into a wall lol. but it works
