Magnum 357 plus LED grow light

I have major heat problems using CFL's. After a month I am going to loose my first grow due to temps of 90-100 degrees being generated in my smallish closet.

Rather than give-up, I am looking at LED lighting and after searching these forums have found mixed opinions on LED's in general. However, more positive comments can be found using the Magnum 357.

This is an expensive purchase and difficult to justify so hoping for some honest feedback. All I really want is two girls that will mature once or twice a year. I understand the potency might not be as good using LED but that is fine. As long as I can get a nice hit from a few ounces a year I will be happy.

So my real concerns are again with temperature. Can anyone advise just how warm these things run? Any feedback on the Magnum systems in general would be greatly appreciated especially the new Magnum Plus if anybody has experience with this.

My plan is to veg and flower with just the Magnum.

Just not possible. I either grow in my smallish closet which is located in my garage or I don't grow at all. Young family, nosy neighbors etc....

The light has the right features: 3w diodes, multiple spectrum, and multiple lens angles. It sounds like a good lamp, and it's competitively priced. Unfortunately, I know nothing about the brand. Many LED sellers use hyperbole and outright lies to sell these lamps. So long as you know that you're getting a lamp that will effectively illuminate a 3-foot by 3-foot space, not the 1000w HID replacement they claim, then go for it.

I personally rock leds from advancedledlights.com; but I do hear great things about the magnums, especially that new mag plus. They are very similar specs to the lights I use. And my opinion is that leds allow for better quality.

LED is MUCH cooler than HPS. I have a Super Locker 2.0 with a 600w Blackstar LED, and my air temp is 75. With the air filter sucking out whatever hot air is produced, the light barely feels like its warm. My Macbook Pro that I am writing this on feels warmer than the light right now.

The High End LED's are better than any HPS out now and will grow your plants faster, bushier, and more healthier plants than the HPS. LED lights last 15 years and use far less electric than HID.

Magnum Plus most likely is the same thing as the 600w Blackstar. Magnum Plus looks awesome!!!!!! Consider the 900w Blackstar too.

I use 2 magnum 357 and a 180w ufo as additnional lighting and spectrum differential and I bought 1 magnum and the next one a month later. The light is solid I dont like to just flower under them but you certainly could. Maybe fit 2 large or 4 small ladies under each one. The temperature is minimal and it has the easy switch for blue to red light. very expensive but definitely recommended.

easy all. i have a mag plus. its alright to b fair think it could handle four big ladies 6 7 lil uns.
its loud tho the fans built in aint on the quiet side at all. temps r good tho but it does throw out lil heat. respect the light distance also as can bleach/nuke ya plants.
done a grow with it got over a oz on one the plants. still learning all time tho so aiming for 3 4 oz a plant in few grows experience.
