Magnifier???

I live in bum-fucked Egypt and was wondering where the best place to get a device that has a magnification of 30X or greater???? I can't tell how much longer i have left on my babies... My largest one is looking ready, and a smaller more indica dominant one is looking ready as well. I was going to try to harvest both at the same time if at all possible. Any advice on where to get a magnifier or how much longer yall think these have to go would be helpful


First pic is a close up of a nuggie from the biggest one i have.
Second and Third pics are of the smaller indica, at least i think its mostly indica, going by appearence, Not sure whats causing the yellowing of the bottom leaves either. But it just recently developed a hole new look and is looking frosty.

Radio Shack has a real nice 60x mag for $12.00. Your babies look real nice. Good job. That yellow discoloration is your baby pulling nutes from the fans....another sign of "close to done". The tell tale are the trichs. Its done when they are cloudy to amber depending on your preference. Mostly amber is a couch lock stoned with cloudy being a bit less intense but still a real good high. Just don't harvest when they're clear, waaay to early.

i used a laser lens from a old CD rom drive held between my fingers and placed infront of my mobile's cam i get these kinda close up macro pictures.

I tried radio shack, they said they don't carry them anymore... What is the ideal magnification for checking out the trichomes?

A quick check of over 10 Radio Shack stores in Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Atlanta comes up with 100% in stock. If your local RS doesn't have them, you REALLY ARE in BFE. But I'd bet with a bit of effort they could get one in.
As for the Ideal magnification, I keep mine on 60x. Sometimes I use my loupe (30x). The RS pocket microscope is variable between 60x and 100x.

And if it's any consolation, the little pricks told me that very same thing when I went to buy one. They told me that RS had quit selling them. After about 2 minutes of looking, I found 6 of them on the shelf!!!! I guess that the ability to "appear" helpful while not actually helping is a prerequisite for employment at Radio Shack.
Never ask any sales clerk to do something that would require any effort beyond texting his girlfriend.

Well after driving for over 2 hours and 4 radio shacks later, i finally found the exact same one for $12. It works great too, but i discovered that my trichomes are still Clear... I am just curious now as to how much longer...

It shouldn't be long. Are there any cloudy/milky trichs present? Is your plant Sativa or Indica? Sativas take a while longer than Indicas.
I chopped mine when the trichs were 50/50 clear/milky with a few amber thrown in. GREAT HIGH!!!! Some said too early, but I am happy with it. All depends on what kinda high you want. The more amber the trichs, the more narcotic "couchglue" body buzz you'll get. I like to get high, not demolished.

go to your local hydro store and purchase a nice one with cash. $20... and easy to use.

I did the same thing with radioshack.. I think everyone goes in there asking for magnifying glass when they really need a microscope. I did the same thing and they handed me a 4X....lol

I asked specifically for a "Pocket Microscope" and when I could finally pry the little pricks' attention away from texting (I assume it was his girlfriend but it COULD have been his boyfriend) He just said that they don't sell them anymore and didn't miss a beat on the texting. Like I said within 2 minutes I found them on the shelf.
I guess this could be a lesson for me not to be lazy and ask a store clerk for something. God forbid they should earn their checks for something other than just showing up for work. (Yeah I'm just a BIT cynical!!)
