20231126_032955.jpg20231126_033008.jpg20231126_033020.jpg20231126_033034.jpg20231126_010709.jpg20231126_033044.jpg20231126_032947.jpg
the space is 60x90cm or 3x2
Got rid of the bulky heater fan (i was using only fan) and threw in a couple brushless 12v fans.
I did the lights , they are 6x 14w regular 4000-4500k e27 led + 2x 17w 6500k.
The cabinet is painted white.
The extracction fan has also recived a upgarde and is now brushless regulable.
They just got transplanted in 3gal cloth pots (i also sewed those by hand from a bigger pot).
The genetics are unknown, a couple of them might be uk cheese x blood tangie.
Using biobizz light mix + micorryzae and biogrow.
Started with 9 seeds, got 3 females and a non binary
Just flipped to flower they are 4 weeks in.
Feel free to ask anything.

pd; have you spotted my grow buddy?

Bless

Nice man, I'm all about DIY and ghetto grows too, but I didn't make my own light I got one for 60$ off Amazon ViparSpectra V1000, I'm in week 5 of flower. If you can buy one, or any other 100w light from any recognizable brands. Light is the most important thing you need when growing. If you wanna get those plants to really flower as they should, get one.IMG_20231128_075620.jpg

update week 3;
the two on the sides got deficiencies, the one on the right, n def nothing too crazy
but the girl on the left... shes got calcium/magnesium def and maybe phosphorous too, i think i overwatered her giving her the same as the other two, may be a airflow to the back problem, and may be a vpd a little out of wack , she is the furthest away from the intake

anyway as you can see i added side/additional lighting (3x 20w phosphorescent Philips bulbs, 1300lm each, but i added them for the reds and ir as a mate suggested here on riu,
I'm also trying out a 35w bulb
20231224_024526.jpg20231224_024545.jpg20231224_024551.jpg
keep in mind that the lights of this foto were just added so to see the results we will come back next week, what you are seeing is 1 week of only 24 14w bulbs, today i added 3x 20w 2700k Philips phosphorescent bulbs and a 35w 6500k led bulb ( only trying it is for the veg side) i got enough blue with the 3000 4000 and 4500k that are mixed in, and now i got some more reds, far reds + some ir from the phosphors
for the veg side im building this: 20231224_024654.jpg
they are smd 2835 6400k , with thin aluminum radiator and with their own 20w mains driver for 5 bucks each
they give off 2100lm and i have 3 of them, i will do like a bar fixture with them and hopefully veg a 2x2 space with 60w total

Merry Christmas!

i see you want to mount them on a hard surface, they may get a little too hot, heat rises so it will heat that mount surface , but nothing too preocupating, i find the heat is helping me in this grow, i had to remoove 2 bulbs because they where getting too much light, im happy with my system, one step forward would be getting those boards out of the bulb, supressing the original power supply , and driving them at 0,3w each chip
that way we would get like 150lm /w and the heat problem would dissapear

Yeah I worry about that too. I used PLA filament to print it with (extra infill to be stronger), but not even sure if it would hold up to the rising heat from the 14+ watt bulbs as is. Maybe a different type of filament would better? The plastic base sockets themselves are heat resistant though of course, but yeah i'm not sure how the printed parts would hold up yet. All my sockets I got didn't come with the extra plastic m10 threaded cable gland pieces, but I run my wires in from the side holes( from one socket to the next one) anyway.. I will be water cooling all my future high output screw in LED grow lights from this point on, so it shouldn't be a big deal if I did use them to mount the sockets to whatever fixture frame, or even a solid panel ;)

I just ran across the file recently and had to print one out to test. I might use them for lighting my new microgreen grow racks (8 sockets per shelf), with the lower output 9w bulbs that run a bit cooler.

Well lookie here, just found this too:

The missing cable glands I needed..!

oh there are brown pistils what you are seeing is the new white pistils from the foxtailing, the one on the left may be even 4 weeks away but the middle one and the right one 2 -3 weeks max, im looking trichomes and they alredy 90 percent milky / opaque, just none amber yet

View attachment 20240106_130305.jpg

these are the same order as the cabinet so middle plant left and right plant right, you can see right side has like 50 percent amber pistils
i took these 2 flowers to dry and try early but i will be havesting right one in 2 weeks at 8 weeks of flower and middle one in 2-3 and the sativa looking one, 3 or 4 weeks more, i think its normal for that more sativish strain to goo to 9 weeks plus

Perhaps others will weigh in, but nothing I see in the pics look anywhere close to ready. Please show a picture of a bud that you believe is close to harvest. That might give me a better sense. My guess is that a lack of light has slowed things down considerably. You can’t base anything on grower’s advertised schedules. Again, only based on what I see, those nugs still look adolescent. Of course, there’s lots I may not be seeing, and I’m not a super expert or anything. But they’re not close, imo.

Not close. Please trust me on this. You want those pistils at least 90% brown. Most here aim for 100% brown pistils. From that pic, I estimate you are at about 40%-50%. Also, lots of nugs in the pic look a lot less developed than this one, which is still not ready. As the pistils brown, the will start to curl in and recede into the calyx, the buds will swell and take on mass. You will be much happier. I hope others will also comment. Buds look nice, but not yet in even the earliest harvest window. It took me a few grows to stop clipping early. I didn’t trust advice here either, lol. Good luck dude. Please seek other advice here to avoid disappointment of weak bud. You’re getting there. I’d say 3-4 weeks. Again, I hope some of the real experts chime in too.

i totally agree with you maybe 3 weeks more on this one and 4 or 5 on the other two i will listen to advice and let it one week more , thanks
oh and this is a middle bud, they all have more or less the same development over the plant
