The plants in the row closest to the camera are burnt a little, but not horrifically. There is definitely some N tox signs showing, but now I know about where I need to keep the EC with this setup. They would probably be fine during the winter, but they are sucking up a ton of water with all of this heat. Still, a lot healthier than my last few grows. 1B4406D8-3500-4D21-9D2E-88EE288B640D.jpeg

The other plants are doing very well aside from the two Zawtz S1s. They aren't burnt, but they are producing really small foxtail looking buds.

I forgot to take pictures, but I moved my vegging plants into the flowering tent today. I left them freestanding, so tomorrow I will prune and scrog them out. I had to reseal the drainage pipes and I didn't want to adjust anything until the silicone set properly.

Here's where the toxicity of a few plants looks like. I don't think it will get much worse though. No root issues from what I can see, so I appears to be from over feeding. Odd though because a row of the same strain is right beside it and fine.

It might have less to do with EC than it has to do with intervals and drybacks. What sort of intervals are you irrigating with in that setup? Also how often are you dumping your res?

They are getting fed 4 times a day to runoff. The slabs are staying on the drier side, which is what I was shooting for. Anytime they get soggy they get root issues. I think the heat plus the lower moisture level is bombarding them with nutrients. They are also the shortest plants, so they aren't getting as much light and probably not processing the nutrients as efficiently as the taller plants. That's my guess anyway.

I don't grow in rockwool, but I think I would want to feed closer to 6x a day if I did.

How often are you dumping your res? Could be a nute imbalance over time if you aren't changing it out regularly.

Either that or the strain doesn't require as much food as the others.
Could be, I have a strain like that I'm growing for the first time right now, along with other strains. Didn't you say that you have a different row of the same strain doing fine though? What's the difference with the rows?

It's drain to waste and I'm using up the res daily between two rooms, so I doubt that's a problem.

I think both rows are affected, but only the one row has progressed to burnt margins. That's why I would assume it was a root issue, but they look healthy.

I also started watering 6x times during my last grow, but that seemed like too much because they started to get water logged. That was also in the winter, so maybe bumping them up to at least one more watering might not be a bad idea.

What I plan to never go over 1.2EC from here on out. Multi feeding is new to me. I was a once a day man for years, using both rockwool slabs and coco. Blumats were my first attempt at automation and the plants got cooked pretty good. This was all while switching over to Jacks, so it's been tough to figure out a proper balance.

Yeah, I have to change my intervals from winter to summer as well. My guess is the drybacks are just a bit too much and causing the burn, not the feed EC.

All of this considered, I'm very happy with the Gary Payton / Cereal Milk x Grape Gasoline strain. It will probably become a staple strain. They are chunky, frosty and not affected by much. They caught slight burnt tips early on, but have stayed healthy throughout.
