Nice thread lumberjack... your probably dead-on, on the amount... you can tell youve done this before... 1/2 to 1 is nice indoors in a medium to small place... I have been enjoying your journal and i just thought of a few things... lately i have been tinkering with my light... not much to do... but i got one of those light meters at homesdepot.... and with that i am able to test light distances and all that stuff... i feel that the 400 watt is perfect for your situation ....however... have you had any bad experiences with your light... you shouldnt have issues during flowering... although your pics remind me allot of my first grow.. hehehe... the leaf colors ...gerth... etc....

I must say that i am a cheap ol motherf*cker so when i had a buddy of mine sell me on dual spectrum.. (plus seeign what the sun does) i started thinking that i wanted it for my indoor... at a nice price tag of about 65 to 100 $'s for those bulbs.. i didnt think so... i started really studying what made those lights work so good for plants and bottom line its the colors... (duh)... well with that mentality. I added cfls under my light... and i have to tell you my plants love it.... This is probably my only advice i could give... like i said... it looks like youve done this before.. hehehe... i just thought to pass on some info that i have found in trial and error... not books.... good luck bud...

and gen, thanks for lookin in... yeah the 400 is doin me alright.... gota small space (imo small, its funnnn being in a 4k grow room )

i'm not gonna do anything about side lighting... if i ever did i'd probably consider led's over cfls... i really don't like cfl's.... i'm also gonna be getting one or two 150w hps's soon, for veg...

the purple spaceship is already purplin up... temps are only gettin to 72 F... by the time it finishes in a month or so the temps will hopefully be down even more so they'll get some nice color all over =]=]



hey mattso, i'd love an ounce each, but i know some aren't quite gonna make it... i wouldn't be suprised if a couple got just a bit over though... a qp is my minimum goal (a half would be stellar though, but kinda optimistic), but i'm gonna kinda transition into perpetual mode, so i've thrown another agent orange cut into flower @4wks in... i'll have the purple and prolly the ogk go 70 days (10wks) so i'll be cutting down 1 or 2 at 8 wks, another 1-3 at 9, and those last 2 at 10, then this agent orange 2 wks later... and i'm gonna put a cutting or 2 or 3 in every couple of weeks from here on out...

gonna see how they fair in 32oz hempy cups, save space/medium...

fun fun... got some seeds to pop soon.... a friends little doing called "moe mist", another friends ghost cut ogk x sourd ibl, a few powerhouse beans, and maybe one or two other things...

So did you start your clones in 32oz foam cups and transfer them to the 1g pots? On my next grow I will start from seed in 32oz foam cups and bog transfer them to 2g pots when I switch to 12/12. I've never done it like this before so I hope they have enough root growth space in those 32oz cups for them to get about 16-18" while vegging...

seaman, that's basically it...

i take cuts and put them in a starter tray with a humidome and 100% perlite

once they show roots i plug them into the 32 ounce cups...
then yeah into the gallon buckets...

i'm seeing how they flower in the 32 ounce cups now =]

how many weeks have you been vegging in the 32oz cups? I might opt for 44oz foam cups to give the roots a wee bit more space. I found a janitorial supply store by my house that sells foam cups by the hundred for $10! The 2g buckets from home depot are going to be expensive though, $3 each! I'm doing 32 plants so it will add up. How many Hempy grows have you done?

all the 32 oz cups i have i got for free... so i'm gonna use them.... my bigger buckets i got at the dollar store...

this is my first time personally flowering in hempy... been vegging in them continually since january/febuary... lots of different strains in them as well...

i've had moms in 32 oz cups for 3 months no problem... so a cutting with a weeks veg won't have a problem finishing in them, -my thinking

oh, and just started soaking 15 beans, five each of: sour diesel x ogk, cherry slyder x sour diesel, and moe mist

never paid for a seed in my life....

if i were to buy seeds (outside of a benefit auction), it'd be some of subcool's gear (i've grown out a few of his strains and have liked them all, wouldn't mind trying others) you can get it at bidzbay, or some of mandala's stuff... found a very nice white satin pheno i wish i kept around... still might have something left from them...

a lot of stuff is private strains... stuff my friends have bred....
i'm very lucky and am very appreciative of all the gifts i've received

nice beans! that sour diese lx ogk will knock your socks off I bet! I'm going to plant some Barney's G13 Haze. First name brand high quality fem seeds I've had. Also doing Nirvana hindu kush and AK48.

yellowsnakes, thanks for looking in, get comfy on the stoner couch.... yeah they had been under insufficient liihting, no nutes, and bad light schedules for 1-2 weeks while i was getting moved... its ok they've all rebounded nicely

and SICC, i love the strawberry cough... first time i smoked the kyle kushman cut was back in vermont at a cannabis convention, and my buddy grew it out great... since then i've been waiting with much anticipation for this one... plus its looking to possibly be the best yielder in my cab =]

unfortunately my rooted cut i had dried up when i was gone for a few days and had somenoe else watering, so i think i'm gonna need to revegg it when all's said and done

so here's the grow at 5 weeks... can't wait to chop, some are looking great already

i cut down most of my strawberry cough plant (all but a few bits and pieces to be re-vegged)

its only @ a couple days before 6 weeks flowering, but i'm outta smoke and money, and i've literally scraped every pipe clean... it was done "enough"...
