Lucas Formula for Mother Plant?

I have been thinking about switching over and using the lucas formula for a grow or 2 and see how it does. I am wondering though if I give my mother plant the formula will it contain too much nitrogen and make it more difficult to clone? If so, could I stop the feeding for a couple weeks do a flush and then try to clone again?

No, it will not have too much nitrogen. Lucas formula is already somewhat low in nitrogen.

Besides, high nitrogen when taking cuttings doesn't make it more difficult to clone, high phosphate does.

If you provide a high N, low phosphate mix to the mother, she will put more energy into stem starch and less into new growth. More stem starch means slightly better success rate.

Awesome! Thanks for your input. And I learned about the high nitro and low phosphate trick. Thanks much! :)
