Lucas formula and RDWC

So i'm using lucas Formula right now and i'm not to impressed. I have a RDWC bubbler system going and some plants like the mix and some don't. My blueberry gum loves it and looks great, one skunk loves it but all the leaf tips are curled downwards, another skunk looks stunted and a Mandala Point of no return looks has some problems with it.

My system is interlinked and i'm tempted to abandon all but the blueberry. I've slowly backed off the nutes and i've seen some slight changes but not much. So i wanna try some other nutes. I was thinking canna line. What nutes do you use and how do you like it.

I am using Dyna-Grow right now, Foliage Pro, Bloom, ProTek, and MagPro (All DG). I don't have a bad thing to say yet. Only been using for a few weeks but my plants in veg are looking great, the DG turned around some sickly looking plants. It's relatively cheap, it's concentrated, and it has everything a plant could every want.

I'm growing some skunk in stink buds aeroponic cloner and vegger systems in the totes. I also bought a air pump and threw aiir stones in everything. So its more a mix of aeroponics and dwc. But any way like stinkbud I decided to try the botanicare line. There's the pureblend pro bloom, sweet, liquid karma, and cal mag.

I keep them at 2000ppm at a ph around 5.5-6 straight thru flower to flush. I use tap water no ro or bottled. Harvested a crop already and the bud tasted great, burned clean, and you couldn't even tell you where smoking anything.

I'm not tied down to anything I was at my local shop earlier undecided on if I should try something else. Gh has been around and its inexpensive compared to most. Mainly what ever you happen to find what works for you. Id say try general hydroponics first. I had some gh gro laying around I used for veg and micro and they were great just those two alone.

I use Lucas formula and using tap water @ 250PPM once nutes are added I am at 950 PPM which is the max for my plants using the 8/16 ratio, I instead back slightly off this so that my PPM level is at 900. My ladies love this, some can run higher PPM but I see no difference just wasting nutes, I add my additives etc so plants are getting what I want when I want it. I see people running over 1,000 but my plants have never been able to take those levels. If the PPM is too high the plants will not drink.

Thanks for sharing, I'm hoping to use a simpler nutrient combintation. Are all those nutes a must?

what are your ppms at?
After mixing 8/16 nutes with tap water of 125ppm i'm at ~1000ppm on a .5 meter

Wow 2000 on a .7 meter thats like 1400 on my scale..DAMN. I couldn't even imagine getting over 1050ppm to my plants

Okay, that sounds like my problem too. I'm glad that I'm not the only person who can't give a lot of nutes to their plants. Do you use the add back formula or straight water? If you use the add back what ml to you use per gallon. see above for my ppm, kinda weird since my water is half the ppm of yours.

I add plain tap water Ph'd to around ~ 6 then adjust the reservoir to 5.8 after a few minutes.

Once I add back in the total reservoir size (mine is 4GA) I change reservoir & mix up & new batch. I do add additional additives like Canna's Boost during flower (they make Rhizotonic for veg) after about 4 days, this does not mess with the PPM which I really like!

Do you think the canna boost helps alot?

I had 50 ML for 4GA after 2 weeks I bump it up for a few weeks then back off . I love the results I see, some Botanicare RAW can be added in too but be careful that stuff really makes your PPM sky rocket! So dilute your nute level down before adding it in otherwise you will burn your ladies

The Rhizotonic is amazing just massive roots, Boost is just as good, I tend

I use a bluelab truncheon meter. on it I use the .5 scale and I usually run them at 1800ppm to 2000ppm I max the meter out. I haven't seen any burn issues plants just grow non stop.
