LST males vs. females

I'm looking to grow again soon in the near future. I figured I'd grow in soil and do about 4 plants. I've been researching a lot lately and have discovered LST (Low Stress Training) to help out my yield.

I guess my question is... If you're not growing from a clone, and your not using feminized seeds, would LST make the plants more likely to be male because of the stress they receive?

nope, the seed has the genetics. It might hermie, but its either a male or female. Stress wont make the chances any different male vs female. Just female / hermie

nope the genetics are in the seed not the environment. Just think about it. You'll understand after you get past that brain fart.

well, what about hermie? i know if you stress a female enough she can hermie and produce female seeds. would the stress maybe cause her to hermie?

nope, stressing in flowering would sure cause your baby to hermie, but as a seedling in vegetive state its fine. Just dont touch it once it starting flowering.

A plant will always be male or female, a lot of stress will cause a hermie, but I supercrop pretty aggressively to some lanky strains and I've never got a hermie.

Isn't it nice to be civilized bleezyg?

Your incorrect. You can influence the probability of females or males from seeds by doing many modifications to the environment and certain macronutrients. Here is just one example of many. Having temperatures lower than 75 degrees better your chances of producing a female from a seed. To support my claim, let me put it this way. Now if you introduce too much stress in any stage of the growing cycle that does lead to hermaphroditism. Hermaphroditism through stress can be considered as manipulating the environment to determine sex.

I'm about to hatch some super skunk seeds, but have previously always had clones. I grew from seed a couple times but never heard of influencing females from males... I guess I outta do some research. I thought a seed was either male or female from the start...

On a side note... Ever heard of stressing a male to hermie into a female?

Technically it should work, but nobody in their right mind would keep a male long enough to do so.

Ok my point exactly. You didnt support you claim with anything. Increasing the changes of fem or male is unprovable. Your pretty much saying you can force your unborn child to be female, if you live in a colder climate. A seed is either a male, or a female. It doesn't change its genetics based on the environment.NEVER! That justs a load of bullshit you decided to believe. You can induce male characteristics by stress, but if its a male, theres no way its going to change to a female because of lower temperatures or macronutrients

I couldn't find anything that had definate results of forcing seeds to be female... Just a bunch of maybe's. If someone can get 10 out of 10 seeds to be female, he'd be a rich man. Hell even 8 outta 10 consistantly.
