LST growing?

Hey all i am new to the forum and i just wanted to know some information that i keep hearing about, called LST growing. I was first thinking about growing lowryder #1 but i heard the yields are shitty and not worth it. I heard about LST growing and how you can shape and cut the plant to make it flower faster and smaller. What are the disadvantages of this and the advantages of this? And would it be good to use it in an area of around 2x2x5?

Also has anyone tried "Lowryder #2", it seems like its a bigger producer then LR#1. Or does anyone have any information on really fast flowering plants, or differnt strains that are crossed with lowryder?

Also what is the best strain that yields the most? Basically looking for the best Cashcropper strain.

Alright thank you for your time.

Low - stress training ( LST) is used when height must be kept at a minimum. The marijuana plant is trained to lie over on its side at an early age, with each successive stem trained in the same fashion. This method produces a low-lying, luxurious plant, with increased bud production due to the light reaching into the sides of the plant as well as the top.

Personally I think you would like ak47. Its dank ass bud, plus it flowers faster that most strains. Its a little expensive though for good seeds. If you want lowryder crossed strains or auto-flowering strains check out Soulseeds.co.uk

Here is my bitch using this method for the first time. I have others that I topped early with two cola's and others not topped or anything. So I'll see if there's any difference in using the varios methods. I can say I am liking the look of the plant in the attached pic, as she has 6 colas shooting upwards!

You can see a gentle curve in the main stem, and see how the offshoots all rise to the left. She has been untied though due to transplantation. I think the tying is a great way to increase budsites. And Mogie's definition of tying all subsequent stems is very interesting and reminds me of ScrOG; where each stem is trained through a screen - hole and grows a bud!

As far as strains and yields go... Not sure. I know my strain: Top 44, is advertised as a good commercial strain that grows short, squat, easily and with decent yields of kind Indica dominant/Sativa undertoned buds.

From experience I can tell you that this strain grows hardy and fast, you can tie, snip, prune, vary nutrients and these plants seem to respond very well. My baby momma loved being tied down! And flowering is going along well with white hairs and bright lime green budsites.

Good Luck and keep us posted!

wouldn think so all your doing is bending the plant so the light is penatrating the sides to make the branches grow better i done mine in the fifth week off veg and it worked a treat
