I have been training my baby for a couple of weeks now and my god she* (i hope) is looking great....TONS of side branching action, my questions are

1) Should I be doing and trimming to get better light to the main stem?

2) Does this look like a Sativa Dominant plant to you guys?

This is a pic of her just after tying her down again this morning.

P.S. I ask because the leaves are all over eachother, creating quite a canopy blocking all the side branches from direct light.

Dont trim the fan leafs. Leave those on there, the plant needs them lol. Wait until you are about to put them into flowering before you worry a lot about getting light to the bottom. I would still leave them but there are a few schools of thought on the subject

ok great sounds good, I figured it might too early to be worrying about that. Anyone have any idea about the dominance of this plant? I thought it looked like Sativa dom because of the leaf shape...

Yeah it looks sativa dominate to me as well.
Another thing is that the plant stretches quite a bit during flowering witch usually opens the plant up to light, so most of the time it works itself out

I don't trim leaves.. as it grows the leaves should distribute more evenly... rotating the plant 1/4 turn daily helps get at hidden leaves... you can tuck or tie them with twist ties....... Luck.....

I'll say more sativa... the leaves a fairly narrow.....
