LST am I doin this shit right?

I just bought a bag of those LST clips. They look just like yours. How do you like them?

I have similar ones as well. Picked them up from a local grow store a couple towns over. I liked them at first, easy to get you LSTing. I now no longer use them but home made J stakes from metal cloths hangers. I found that those handy little clips really dictated some growth direction and was pretty limited in the grand scheme of the direction you'd like to grow, horizontally.

Do the clips pinch off growth. I’d be worried about the expanding branch around the clip.

If you leave them on too long, they can be a bitch to get off. I ended up yanking an entire branch off a plant trying to remove a clip that the plant outgrew.

Yep, eventually does. And the more you use the more chances of you forgetting one or two, or five. One of the other reasons i wont use them anymore.
If your careful they are super handy when used in the right situations

LOL! I HST'd my entire run this time and had the main branches literally horizontal. I even accidentally snapped off a main branch in half on one of my plants going too far...Oh well. The plants heal quickly and actually seem to like getting bullied....and they can take quite a bit of it, too! 
After awhile, I decided to take off the clips....and everything straightened right back out to almost completely vertical in a couple weeks! But, it worked out because vertical space is all I have left in the tents, anyway!

I really like em,, They work well for my training style..
Now I take em off before they get to that point.. I left them on once and the plant broke the clip..
