OK starting this thread to keep track of a LR2 I have. Don't get to excited guys I don't post piks of plants, because it's not my internet, and the owner would not like piks posted.

So I got this LR2 in a 3 gal bucket. With a 8" net pot lid. I have 1 air stone in it and I'm using a water farm kit.

This is how I set it up. I took a 5" net pot and, I put it upside down in the 8" net pot bucket lid and, I zip tied it down in the middle. I then cut a hole in the bottom of the 5" net pot(witch is face up now). Just the center ring of netting. It is just under 1.5" in Diameter, and will fit a rapid rooter plug very nicely. I put the rapid rooter plug in. Just a little way in and, use hydroton to hold it up.

So that's how it's put together now for the why. What I have found so far is.

1)- The tap root goes right down into the 5" net pot and gets fanned by the air bubbles from the air stone. Until it can get a grip on the side the the net pot. Then the roots grow back into the hydroton, and out the far side. So you get a good wide root spreading. and lots of air to them.

2)- There is a water farm kit that you can't see. That is not illustrated. It runs on air and, feeds the top of the hydroton with rez water, and the hole thing runs on air. So there is no water pump. That means no heat from a submersible pump. Did I say the hole thing runs on just air

3)- For the price of a cheep 5" net pot. I am using 2/3 less hydroton to fill a 8" net pot bucket lid

4)- No need to mess with rock wool. That stuff is nasty. If you handle it dry. You might as well be playing with dried and crumbly asbestos. There are some nasty carcinogens in that shit.

5)- THE HOLE THING RUNS ON AIR!!!!!

OK. That's the how and why of it. Next post will get into the LR2 I have in one of thees bucket setups. But for now. Its time to get some seedlings moved to were they need to go

OK. This bucket sits next to the Blue Streak bucket I have going. So I am going to point all the LED's on it for now. I think its starting to flower. I had a bit of a over nute issue at the first week, and it shut down for like 2 weeks. So this one is a bit behind. I was starting to think it would never flower. But now I think we are close. I am starting to smell it and I couldn't before. It is also turned into a beast. About 2' tall and 6 to 8 colas. With 2 mains, and I didn't even top it. It just split on it's own. It is a beastly bush at this point. I wounder how big this thing is going to get. I think the next LR2 I do. I will LST it. I am working on a design. to add tie down points to the edge of the net pot bucket lid. But more on that later. Things are getting a little out of control. I have the Blue streak thing going, the LR2 thing going and, my friend just dumped a male Purple Jem in my lap so I can harvest the pollen. I went from taking handouts from a friend to get me started growing. I mean it was bad. Every time I killed a plant. He would bring me a seed or 2. So I could try again. Now I'm turning into my own seed bank. This is so cool.

No sign of flowering yet. I sure hope I didn't screw this thing up. It looks so good right now. I am also giving up on the Fox Farm nutes and going with the General Hydroponics line. my friend has been testing it for some time now and getting good results. Heck he is getting great results. I will use the FF nuts on the LR2 grows till its gone and then it will all be GH

Chop chop. I cut some of the big leaves on the top and on the bottom they were blocking light from most of the lower colas. Still no sign of flowering.

Well I am starting to think this thing is not going to flower, and that sucks. I'm not sure what the life cycle is, and if I will be able to keep it alive long enough to finish if it does flower. I will start looking around and see if I can force flowering. Also to see what would be the best way to do it.

If any body has any thoughts on how to force a autoflowering plant to flower let me know please.
